A Slice of Heaven
Retuned to this lovely cabin for a quick fall visit and was not disappointed! The owner was attentive and made sure we had the best experience. We’ve stayed in many locations in N. Michigan over the years and this is our hands down favorite. Hoping to return!
The weather wasn't the best, but we were warm and comfy in the cute cabin! The beds and couches were very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. We hope to be able to teturn some day!

Wonderful Summer Start
Our family throughly enjoyed this magical cabin on Lake Leelenau. It was the perfect iconic place to relax and be together. The beauty of nature was in full swing. The cabin was perfect inside and out. The back porch was our favorite spot when the sun came up and when the sun set. It’s a place we plan on coming back to time and time again!!
This little cabin is very cozy and comfortable, and the property right on the lake is so relaxing. Susan was great with our questions, we had a wonderful stay and hope to be back.

Clean and comfortable
My husband and I recently spent 4 fabulous days at this cabin, and we enjoyed every minute of it! The location is great and close to the bike trail and towns. We used the kayaks one morning and enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of the lake. We had everything we needed in the cabin. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens and towels were very nice. The only negative thing I have to say is that the kitchen is very small. But we had everything in it that we needed so that is just a minor complaint. We hope to come back and stay here again next year!

Lake Leelanau in July
A well maintained lakefront cottage, about a 4 mile (easy) bike ride to the small town of Lake Leelanau. Go to NJ's for fresh samosas at noon each day. Two miles further (west) brings you to a wonderful bread bakery (9 Bean Rows). By car, it's 20-30 minutes to anyplace you'd want to go (Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, etc.). This is a highly recommended vacation location and rental home. The two bedroom, two bath cottage will comfortably accommodate 2 couples or one family of 4-5 people. There's enough bedding for 6 or 7 people but you'll be more comfortable with a smaller crowd. The property is shady so the lack of air conditioning rarely poses an inconvenience (we were overly warm on just 1 day out of 7). The owner responds quickly to questions or concerns.
What a beautiful cabin! The place was perfect for us- clean, cozy, quiet and comfortable we felt right at home. Nice dock to fish off of, the water is shallow and crystal clear. We had an unusual 75 degree day and did use the kayaks. They are easy to get into the water - and the water is shallow along the shore.
Great covered porch (even when it rained we were out there) to have our morning coffee. Making a fire in the fire pit is easy and the owners provide plenty of ready to go fire wood. At night it was quiet, DARK and the sky had more stars than we have ever seen! We felt very safe.
The cabin is close to Traverse City, Sutton Bay, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pierce Stocking scenic drive, Leland, Fishtown and much more.
Everything needed to make dinner is here, pots and pans, utensils, dishes, coffee cups etc. We roasted a chicken and potatoes and even made an apple pie! Made breakfast every morning. Do bring spices, foil and plastic wrap. The washer and dryer are in perfect working order. Did I mention 60” TV with cable and WIFI. We will definitely recommend this place and come back.
Overall, this is a great rental. Property is as advertised. Very nice property that is peaceful and quiet on the lake. Lake is good for swimming and was typically warm with nice views. This year (Summer 2020) there are some large logs/tree trunks in the water that you have to avoid while swimming to not injure your self, but this could easily change year to year based on movements within the lake. Cabin has a great porch to eat on, have your morning coffee, and enjoy the lake view. If I had to point to any negatives or areas of improvment they would be: Kitchen could have a better stock of kitchenware etc. Most of it needs to be upgraded. Rental could be a little more generous with stocked supplies (there was no tissue Kleenex) or dishwashing brush/pad provided (there is no dishwasher). Lastly, the cottage is on a dirt road and is pretty sucluded, which is nice, but we brought our bikes hoping to ride them right by the cottage on a paved road as our kids are little, so we didnt get to do that. Overall, this is a quality rental that I would recommend.
This cozy home was the perfect amount of space for two couples to get away for a nice wine weekend on the Leelanau Penisula. Not one complaint. Although, would recommend reviewing the fees carefully when comparing properties. This one has several of them.
This property was great for relaxing. It is out away from Traverse City, but not enough to discouage exploring. I would highly recommend this rentsl property.
Up North cabin great for our small family. Perfect location, water access, kayaks, fire pit, shallow for swimming. Lots of fun!

Good time up north
We have stayed in a number of places in the area over the years, and this one is OK.
The location is very convenient to the various attractions in the Leelanau peninsula and has a great North-facing lakefront exposure with a nice fire pit. The house itself is ample and generally well maintained. The stacked laundry was a great feature and super convenient. The neighborhood was also very quiet, especially at night so we could have the windows open for ventilation.
While I respect any owner’s particular taste, there are several areas that detracted from our experience, and may be good to know for other renters: The entire home is carpeted, including the kitchen and both baths. The kitchen fixtures and appliances are older. The home overall is dark due to the brown carpet and sofas and to the walls and ceilings being wood paneling, on top of the mostly Northern exposure. Depending on your needs, these may or may not be factors for you.

Great cabin right on Lake Leelanau!
Can't say enough great things about this cabin -- great property with a deck that overlooks Lake Leelanau, with a fire pit, dock and kayaks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin over the Memorial Day weekend. Inside of the cabin was clean and updated and fits a group of people comfortably. Very neat place to stay -- we look forward to returning in the future.
