Have stayed here growing up as a kid several times and always loved it! I figured its been several years I would give it another shot. I was disappointed with my stay overall. The property and the rooms were clean and well maintained no doubt about that. Communication is terrible, I called and left 2 messages with them well in advance of my arrival to confirm my stay and could not get an answer or response. I called a day or 2 before my trip and finally got through! I confirmed all my details and confirmed that an Ice Maker was on site, the woman I spoke to told me yes an maker was on site, When I arrived and went to find it I found a run down old ice maker that said out of service on it but when looking it was clear as day it was out of service fore a VERY long time. I asked a housekeeper how long has it been out of service and they told me a very long time. So basically the woman I spoke with lied to me. Its a minor issue an ice maker is not a huge deal but if she was honest I could have planned better! When I asked about the ice maker the advice I got was to go to the nearest dollar general and get ice, I mean obviously, but I cant stand being lied to it comes off like you just want my money. She knew it was down. When checking in the young man up front seemed slightly overwhelmed and gave me the wrong number for my room keypad so I had to call and get assistance with that as well.
