Location was great You can walk to any place :lake, store restaurant Also by car you can explore many places if you like nature or shopping Check little towns around Lake George Town.

The owners are very friendly and sweet. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was super relaxing. There was no young people there partying. Great Mountain View’s.

We stayed for 2 nights and this was like last minute booking. The place is a bit outdated, room was very small but clean. There’s no room service but you can go to the office and ask for clean towels. The walls are very thin so at night we practically could hear someone snoring in the next unit. It’s also too close to the main road so the outside noise at night can be a problem for a “ light sleeper “. It’s close to all main attractions so that’s a plus. The owner was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Wonderful place for the Price

I really liked the Couple's Cabin at the Doray Motel. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is due to the smallness of the shower. I am a bigger person and the shower just fit me, with very little room to maneuver. Also the cabin could use a small table in the Futon area. All else was excellent.

Expedia advertises that this motel has a pool, when in fact, it does not. This is a decent basic motel for a place to sleep. If looking for a place with amenities or a place to relax after a day of walking around the village, this place is lacking.

Not fancy, but super sweet! Loved it.

This is a simple little motel where we stopped on our way during a long road trip. We weren’t looking for more than a clean bed and a bathroom. We were pleasantly greeted by the charming owners, who engaged us in a nice conversation. They were just so kind. We were also so happy to discover an EV destination charger on-site. There's a convenience store right next door so we grabbed some beer and hung out on the “patio” (really just two chairs in front of the door, but it was so nice and cozy). There were also friendly people in one of the other rooms, and between them and the owners it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends when we left.

The bed was comfortable, the room had a microwave and fridge (which was useful for leftovers), & the a/c provided plenty of cool air. There was no cable despite a cable box and a guide that showed all the channels that were unavailable (there were only like 5 local channels available, so I ended up having to watch stuff on my laptop instead). Overall, the room served its function satisfactorily (except for the tv situation).

The owners of this property are fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about them. Very welcoming and kind. We will definitely stay here again. Good old-fashioned motel experience that you don't really see too often anymore.

The room was very small but we didn't spend a lot of time there anyway. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and had hot water. It was perfect for an active weekend away at a decent price. Would definitely stay again.

Couples Cabin

The Doray Motel is a great little spot; we stayed in the "king-bed cabin." Nicely located to walk to beaches, downtown shopping and local eateries. The owner is super helpful, friendly and always busy around the place keeping it clean and updated. Sure the place is old (let's call it classic,) but everything is in working order. Plenty of free parking, plenty of hot water. Why not "five-stars"? For the product/service received, I feel price could have been lower. No daily room service, awkward furniture layout, and there was a bees nest on our patio. (The owner did address immediately when brought to his attention!)
