  • Lake George Steamboat Company offers a variety of tours and tour lengths on three different boats. This is the Mohican, their largest. The trip was about 2.5 hours, cost about $23 per person and traveled from the southern point of the lake to about half way north. There is a snack bar but I did not visit it. There is commentary talking about the history of the lake, area and some of the houses. It was a very relaxing and pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

Katherine is a great communicator. The house was beautifully decorated for the fall season. Toiletries and coffee/tea bar well-stocked. Great location.

Fantastic house

Had a family friendly weekend and had a wonderful time. This house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Hosts were communicative and available, although we had no problems. Highly recommend this property.

Great Stay

This was a great home for our family vacation. The location is the perfect distance from both Bolton Landing and Lake George. The home is clean, cozy, and well maintained. Communications from and with Katherine & Kevin were timely and quick. Everything was exactly as listed and one of the best VRBO locations we have booked.

Relaxing getaway

The cleanliness and communication with host was wonderful. Location was good. Would definitely go back. It was a little close to road so a bit noisy sitting on front porch. But had a deck off master bedroom in back of house which was enjoyable.

The coziest most adorable home!

I came here for my bachelorette party and had the most amazing time with my friends! The location is perfect and central to all the fun things in Lake George. The house was immaculately cleaned and equipped with everything we would ever need for our stay (the coffee bar was our favorite part.) There were so many little touches that made it feel very comfortable, and we felt so well taken care of in this beautiful home! I can’t recommend it enough :)

Accommodating and Lovely

The property was charming and very close to activities in Bolton Landing and Lake George Village. The hosts were very accommodating and extremely helpful, even going so far as to ship us an important item that was accidentally left behind when we checked out. Thanks so much Katherine and Kevin!!

Cozy sums it up!!!

Katherine was a wonderful hostess and had her home all cozy with glimmering candles and fireplace all aglow upon our arrival! The kitchen was fully equipped which made for nice at-home meals for us 4 besties to sip wine and catch up. We all had our own bedroom and plenty of bathrooms which was very convenient. The house was clean and so cozy which was exactly what we wanted for our trip to Lake George. We only wished we booked for a longer trip and will certainly return!!!

Wonderful Stay!

The Yellow Farmhouse made it a wonderful long weekend for our son's baseball tournament. The house was immaculate and is one of the most well-stocked houses in which we have stayed. It is perfectly located between Bolton Landing and Lake George so we fortunate to experience both places. The hosts were very communicative and helpful with recommendations. They even left a S'mores kit for our kids to enjoy at their fire pit! Excellent hosts! We would definitely stay here again! 10/10!

Lovely Home!

We absolutely loved the house. Not only was it decorated adorably inside and out, but it was stocked with everything you could think of. We did not need to stop at the store for anything. It was extremely clean and very quaint and cozy. It was in the perfect location, and easy to get to and from our scheduled tours. Communication with the owner was excellent from beginning to end. We would absolutely stay here again!

Thanksgiving with family

When we walked in, we were overwhelmed with the Christmas spirit, the comfyness, the wonderful Christmas feel. The hosts were absolutely amazing, they were responsive, attentive and I could not have been more impressed with how welcoming everything was. This is a wonderful home for a family, or an extended family. Lots of games, big yard, tons of special extras like the welcome basket, the seasonal atmosphere. Truly amazing.

Great Hosts

We had a lovely long weekend that was a bit different than expected. A rainy forecast became a winter storm. We awoke to over 8 inches of snow, and by the end of the day the accumulation was between 16 and 20 inches according to news reports- our host appeared and helped shovel snow and salt the driveway so that we could get our car out. We enjoyed hiking with snow shoes.The house was wonderful and the hosts outstanding. And Lake George is a beautiful place!

Amazing Vacation

Honestly can't say enough great things about the house and our wonderful host. The house is cozy and inviting. As a person with OCD, i have never been able to fully relax and feel comfortable at any places we have stayed previously but the house was so clean, i was comfortable from thr start. It is hard not to be in this house. Our host is amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed. The house has literally everything you could possibly need. We love it so much, we have already booked for next year. Best rental we have done.

spectacular trip

The house was as warm, beautiful and cozy as in the photos. The bedrooms were very inviting. The bottom bunk had either a full or queen size mattress and was comfortable for my daughter and son-in-law. The location is excellent, an easy straight drive into the town of Lake George or the Sagamore Hotel which is in the opposite direction. Katherine was readily available to all of my emails, friendly and helpful when needed. My family voted this trip the best one yet. We won't be back next summer but they all agreed we will definitely come back to Lake George and this house.

Great stay in Lake George!

We came for a weeklong family vacation to Lake George. There is easy access to all of the area’s amenities with a short drive. Literally about 5 minutes to Lake George Village, or 15 minutes up to Bolton Landing. With cozy in the title we were expecting a small house, but it was spacious and comfortable for our family of 6! There is a nice dining room (great for a family game night or meal!), and also space to sit in the kitchen around the island. The bedrooms were comfortable, with plenty of pillows. There are also some lovely outdoor spaces including a large porch, back deck, fire pit with seating, and grill! The house was very clean and included basics for the week, such as toiletries and linens. We would happily stay at this property again in the future!

Unmatched Hospitality and Elite Location!

Katherine and Kevin’s Lake George farmhouse is exactly what you’re looking for. CLEAN and COZY. Rustic yet utilitarian - it’s hard not to instantiy feel right at home. 2 master bedrooms with bath/shower. 2 additional bedrooms. Large dining room and table. Family room and great kitchen with breakfast area. Location is midway between Lake George village and Bolton Landing. Plenty to do. We rented a boat and anchored at Log Bay. Horseback riding. Million dollar beach. Great restaurants. THE GEM. Chateau on the Lake. Saluti’s Italian. This was the perfect stay. Kevin and Katherine are VERY responsive. They had a bottle of wine waiting for us. Just amazing.

Absolutely amazing

This property was absolutely amazing. We could not of expected anything more. The check in process was simple, communication from the hosts were quick on there response when asked a question. This house felt like home from the moment my wife and i walked threw the door. The house was extremely clean and warmly decorated with its decor. They definitely know how to make you feel right at home. The moment we walked in entry way there was a basket filled with homemade cookies and donuts along with all the little extras. There was not one thing in this house that they missed. My wife and i cannot wait to return. Thank you Katherine and kevin for welcoming us to your home. It was a amazing experience ❤️

Cozy Farmhouse!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yellow Farmhouse. The home is cozy, comfortable and very clean, stocked with everything we needed to enjoy some family time together. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare and eat meals at the kitchen table and in the dining room.There's a large selection of games which were wonderful for the kids and adults alike. I can't say enough about how great the house is! The outdoors area is quite nice to, with the lovely porch and a nice size back yard. Katherine and Kevin are wonderful hosts. Katherine contacted me a week before our arrival, to let me know when the check in info would be available, and to see if our had any questions. She also gave some suggestions about restaurants and general info about the Lake George area. She was so helpful, and contacted us again once we were in the home to make sure we had everything we needed. Communication was outstanding, check in went smoothly. Overall this was a perfect stay! We all wished we could stay for another day! We'd love to return!
