This was our 6th short stay at this hotel.
As always the reception staff and restaurant staff were wonderful. The bathrooms have finally, recently been updated, this was long overdue. The rooms have also been slightly modernised, but they are a bit of a mush mash between old and new. They do not provide bottled water in the evening although there is a turn down service. The pool area is lovely, the water was just about warm enough to get into, it is unseated. There is no pool attendant to help move sun beds or parasols so guests feel slightly neglected in the pool area. In today’s market of luxury hotels, I feel this is more four star than five star. It’s finest feature is its huge terrace, with its magnificent lake view, where breakfast and dinner are served on warm mornings and evenings. It is a traditional hotel with an aging clientele. A shuttle bus service is advertised but this is no longer available at the hotel.
