DoubleTree by Hilton Front Royal Blue Ridge Shadows
10/10 Excellent
"This is a convenient place to stop off if you've been visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park. It's out of town slightly, so you would have to drive if you were looking for somewhere else to eat.
The restaurant was an unremarkable diner with average food - definitely not a destination - but the staff were friendly. "
The George Washington Hotel, A Wyndham Grand Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The beauty of the property to begin with. Old world charm but modernized without detracting from the original character. The grand mailbox, each floor having a mailbox which directly connects with and is fed by gravity to the “grand” collection box on the ground floor! Beautiful! The basement pool is a spectacle to behold! The beauty along with the perfect water temperature provided a perfect ending to our evening!"
"This location has to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Very very clean, friendly people and a super good breakfast. They actually had someone restocking the breakfast bar.
Pet friendly too.
Very convenient access on and off the highway at a very reasonable rate for the night. "
"The staff were great. Yogi was absolutely amazing despite pulling a double shift and having problems to resolve. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool. I love how the hotel collaborates with other businesses in behalf of guests…All-trails and Golden Corral discount. The room was spacious…but the little square pillows were odd.
Great history on the area. Can’t wait to explore another time."
"The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. They supplied enough towels. The breakfast bar had variety. It was quiet for us, but we had a 2 year old that is very boisterous and likes to dance so I don't know if that bothered anyone around us or below us."
