Great stay

A quiet peaceful property with horses goats and ducks to meet! Heating was great in the cabin. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch getting some fresh air.

Perfect Stay for the Cold

We stayed here over a cold and snowy weekend and it was perfect. The cabin was warm and cozy, with a beautiful view of the pond. Jim and Tracy were wonderful hosts who took the time to show us the animals. We would absolutely stay again!

Anniversary getaway!

Beautiful cabin, and very beautiful property! Jim and Tracy were wonderful! 10 out of 10 one of the best places to go to for peace and quite with your spouse!! Very relaxing! Enjoyed the animals also! Would definitely recommend! Would definitely stay again!!

Windy Pond Farm

Third time staying here. As always it was a fantastic getaway. If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful getaway this is the place you need! The owners are just fantastic people, super friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend Windy Pond to everyone!

The cabin was just as advertised. Spaciuos, comfortable, clean, and inviting. The hosts live in their own house also on the property and ate lovely. They were generous with their time and their tomatoes.

Fantastic Cottage

We had such a relaxing and comfortable stay! The hosts were very gracious and welcoming and showed us around the house and property. We got to meet the horses, goats, and swans and were given fresh chicken eggs, which were delicious. The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the cottage was cozy with a great view of the pond. Overall, this was a great place to spend the long holiday weekend and we'd highly recommend this guest cottage.

Large and cozy cabin

Was only there two nights but had a wonderful time. The cabin is even better than the pictures show; it's quite spacious and very clean. Can fit 6 people comfortably. Very nicely decorated too. Excellent AC despite the heat, great wifi signal. Kitchen was fully equipped and they had just put in a new fridge the day we arrived. Would definitely return or recommend to others, specially small groups.

Quiet, warm and remote

Jim and Tracy have an amazing cabin, it is very rustic and quaint but also comfortable. Perfect for a few quiet days. The location is remote and the last mile or so are in dirt road so be careful when picking your vehicle to bring, but it is worth it. The cabin has all the basics for cooking and the town is 15 mins away if there is a something missing. I know we definitely be returning here in fall.

Peace and Tranquility

We had such a nice peaceful stay here. No major towns around. Our hosts were very kind. We fell in love with their “babies”, the horses, mule, chickens, ducks, and especially Poppy and the goats!! The cabin had two wonderful porches on the front and back of the property. Large nicely appointed kitchen stocked with supplies.Comfy living room and large accommodating bedrooms. Would recommend this beautiful retreat to anyone looking for peace and quiet..

Loved our stay!

We just spent a wonderful and peaceful long weekend at this adorable cabin! Everything we needed was there, except for food, which we brought with us. Very spacious and comfortable. Beautiful setting with the pond right there. Loved waking up and looking out and seeing the horses and donkey each morning! We drove to Callicoon (about 35 minutes away) and had lunch at Peppino’s, which came highly recommend by the owner. It was delicious! Also made the short drive to Preston’s Country Market for a few snacks. Would definitely stay here again! And thanks again for the delicious corn!

Beautiful Hidden Gem Two Hours From NYC

I felt like I was in an episode of Virgin River. The cabin was charming and perfect for my needs. The hosts were extremely inviting. The goats! So cute…. Animals everywhere. Woke up to a bunch of bunnies hopping around in front and ducks in the pond… Even the drive up to the farm is breathtaking. I would highly recommend. Great weekend! Thank you.

Much Needed Getaway

Just needed a weekend away and found the “Charming Country Cottage” with plenty of positive reviews so we went on their word and true to form it was a pleasant peaceful weekend. We went with a blank itinerary and could have stayed in all weekend but we chose a few short trips to Hancock, NY (only about 10-15 minutes away), plus a longer trip to Binghamton, NY (about an hour drive) for some shopping and more dining choices. However, we could have easily hunkered down for the weekend in the cottage and been content. The hosts met upon arrival and were responsive to any questions we had. In the end, it facilitated a much needed demand we had for peace and quiet!

We LOVED the cottage at Windy Pond Farm!

What an incredible stay at Tracy's adorable cottage at Windy Pond Farms. The space had everything we needed - a couple of bed rooms, kitchen stocked with necessary tools/pots/pans, a great front porch for sitting with coffee and staring into the middle distance, and all in the context of a very sweet farm (goats! chickens! ducks! horses! dogs! cat!). Tracy was such a kind, generous, personable host - both my friend and I managed to forget toothpaste and when we asked Tracy for the nearest place to get some, she brought us a tube from her own stock. She introduced us to some of her animals and was super approachable! Would absolutely stay again.

Peaceful and cozy

This cottage is so cozy and peaceful! Jim and Tracy were the most friendly, helpful hosts. The master bed is SO comfortable, I wanted to take the mattress home with me! I enjoyed exploring the area by car, but also taking walks down the lane as it's a very quiet, tranquil dirt road with lovely scenery. It was a joy to see the animals every day, just going about their business! There is a great back porch facing the woods where you can just wind down and listen to the wind in the trees. There is a decent market/grocery store just a few miles away (Preston's Country Market). It's small, but it had everything I needed. My only suggestions would be to add a box or two of tissues around the cabin, as I didn't see any. And the internet connection is very unstable and was dropping constantly. Hopefully that can be fixed! Thank you so much for sharing your home and hospitality!
