Lake City Getaway is centrally located in Northern Michigan. Only 4 miles to Lake City’s sandy beaches, and wonderful restaurants, and 5 miles to beautiful downtown Falmouth. This property is close to skiing, ORV trails, boat launch and much more.

Stay and relax in our 3 bedroom house with a large heated, attached hang out area, including a hot tub, pool table, a nice spot to watch the game. Or step outside to our beautiful fire pit to toast marshmallows in the large back yard.

Great Getaway!

We absolutely loved this house! We rented it for my daughter's 16th birthday & her & her friends loved being able to watch movies while IN the hot tub! The owner was SO responsive when we had a minor issue. It was a great weekend!

Country house

Great place to get away from it all. Quick drive to a quaint little town located on the shore of a large lake. This home almost seems like a barn dominium style home with the attached garage. Plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy.

Perfection!

Location was great! Close to Lake City to go to diner for breakfast, pubs for drinks, food and live bands, and ice cream shop. Hot tub was amazing! Pool table was a good leisure activity. Host was very accommodating, responding to questions and requests. Went trail riding and had great experience with Greater North Power Sports. This weekend get away was so needed and appreciated! Would love to return with friends and/or family.

Valentine's weekend

This was such a cute cozy place to spend our Valentine's Day weekend. It was awesome to have a couch, pool table, air hockey and hot tub in the same hang out area! Definitely where we spent most of our time. Only thing I would recommend is updating the TVs to Smart TVs... It was a little difficult trying to figure out how to connect the Blu-ray to the internet to get on our Netflix. But we did figure it out eventually lol Other than that everything was absolutely perfect!! We'll definitely be returning

Summer Getaway

Overall a great stay! Host was very helpful and we spent a lot of time in the large recreation area. The only drawback was no A /C and it was hot during our stay. There are plenty of fans but bedrooms were still stuffy at night. Just something to be aware of if planning a summer stay.

Great place

The house is clean spotless. We were 9 people for a long weekend and it felt quite spacious. The living/dining area is pretty big, plenty of seating space. The garage area is great for socializing late at night as you won't wake up anyone sleeping in the house even if you get loud. The property is pretty big, far enough from neighboring houses which allows you to hang out around the fire pit area without bothering neighbors. Kitchen is well equipped. I could tell all of the pots, pans, utensils were new. Internet was working great, I worked remotely one day and was able to access company's server, run scripts with no issues. Very close to a few lakes and towns, we did day trips to Cadillac, Higgins, Traverse...

Has Potential

This place was very cute in pictures and the big hang out room drew us in. The listing was a little misleading as it said the large couch is a great place for watching the game but there is no cable and the TV out there is not a smart TV that you can stream on either. The internet was unfortunately not working the whole time we were there so the TVs were useless. Still plenty to do but the hot tub was low on water and we ended up having to add some so the jets wouldn’t spray out of the tub. There were some definite cleaning issues but I feel bad going into more detail. I get the impression this friendly couple is new at this as there were no instructions for check in or check out. The women on the listing was very friendly when communicating. I hope they find their grove as I think this place does have a lot of potential.

Deceptive pictures

We went into town for a funeral and needed a close place to stay. The owner communication was great. She told me she was leaving a key under the mat. From there it kind of went downhill. We got into town a little later and wanted to wind down. The wi-fi was out and that also meant the tv didn’t work. We checked in Wednesday night and it was out all day Thursday. There was no guarantee it would’ve been back on for my husband to telework on Friday, so we decided to leave. Our hotspot wasn’t cutting it. Although she did offer to bring us over a dvd player for some entertainment the next day. The house kind of smelled like an old cottage that had been kept closed. The sheets were rough, the beds were not comfortable, and the hot tub was scummy. We noticed when we were crawling into bed that our feet were extremely dirty from the wood floors. We talked to the owner about possibly getting our money back for 1 of the 3 nights since we only stayed for one night. The owner was not receptive to anything we said and made it seem like it was our fault the internet was out, and we should’ve known it would’ve been on the next day. Some softer sheets and a tv antenna would be a great contribution to this home.
