  • Escape to a serene retreat at this 4-bedroom house in Lake City. With 2 queen beds, 1 sofa bed, 2 full beds, 2 twin beds, and 1 bunk bed, there's plenty of space for everyone. Enjoy the convenience of AC (window units) in the summer and heating during colder months. The 2 bathrooms feature showers, bathtub and hair dryers for your comfort. It's an older home, but nicely renovated and decorated. Plenty of sleeping space and nice amenities--fire pit, grill, an assortment of games and throw blankets and super comfortable recliner couches and chair. It's just 3 blocks away from the boardwalk, tennis and skate park, a public beach, and downtown shops and restaurants. Lake Missaukee is a beautiful, clean lake for swimming, boating and fishing. We were able to bring 2 of our beloved dog family members. Highly recommended if you are looking for a casual getaway in a quaint Northern community.Just a note, watch the stove when you are cooking. Burners temps are hard to gauge-they are either warm or too hot. Make sure that the code is available to turn off the smoke alarm in the event you set it off. Otherwise, you might get to meet the local fire department!
