"The Mead had long been the gold standard hotel in Wisconsin Rapids. It appears that many improvements are being made since we stayed in July. Newly painted rooms, lighted mirrors and improvements to the outside of the property. Weeds and landscaping becoming a priority. We love the Mead in and long to see it get by live and attention it deserves."

"Perfect for our group of 5 that was up for a long weekend to fish. Great location on the water, next to Bayrest bar, as well as the Bighorn store which has bait and last minute essentials. Second time staying here. Would definitely consider again in the future."

"The walking paths are phenomenal- bring your walking boots/shoes and bug spray. We really enjoyed the diversity of plants/trees/mushrooms- there are lots of photo opportunities, from the manicured lawn to the forest paths to the native planting sections to the very charming abandoned chicken coop behind the garage. Everything about this place is comfortable and homey. We could tell they put a lot of thought into the entire space. It had an incredibly well-appointed kitchen (they had SHARP knives... IYKYK!). The beds and linens were lovely! There were tons of games, and the pool table was great. Connor was quick with communication, and the house was very clean. We had a wonderful time!"

"Very nice property. Would stay here again. Clean rooms, beds were comfortable. Amenities were satisfactory, AC worked well.Do note that the property does not have accessible laundry facilities, so plan accordingly. There is a laundromat in Adams about 5 minutes away. The property was absolutely beautiful, and the seclusion was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for sharing your house with us, Marta."
LARGE LAKEFRONT HOME ON LAKE PETENWELL WITH VOLLEYBALL COURT

"We loved this place. Our family of 13 adults and 4 kids had plenty of space to spread out and yet, the rooms, common space and kitchen area was large enough for us to all be together. The kitchen had everything you needed and then some. There were also alot of spices if you forgot anything you needed. We loved that they have a couple highchairs and portable cribs for our little ones, less to pack. The patio and deck were great, many outdoor toys and games to play. We used the firepit every night and they supplied alot of lawn chairs too. The only downside to this place was the water, which obviously the owners cannot control. It is a very short walk to the water on a nice mowed trail, but the water in the cove and docking area was extremely green and slimy, no sand area for little ones to play in. Again, out of their control, but it is good to know if you are planning on swimming and beach area. With that said, they do have a nice outdoor shower and hose area to spray off outside which does help. Owners were very prompt in answering my messages, which was appreciated. There are some nice mowed trails for walks along the lake, very pretty area and quiet lake. We hope to come back some day,"
