"Clean and everything provided. Very minor issues.....water pressure to second shower area not good. Would like a safety barrier/rail to upper lawn area, especially around fire pit.Thank you Steve......we had a terrific time, and will revisit when can. Hope all left was satisfactory. GLENYS."

Beladura-35 Goolwa Channel Drive, Hindmarsh Island

8/10 Good
"The property is a little tired from previous visits. We had problems with the a/c and the bbq.The garden needed a gardener to come and tidy up the yard. The price of the rental and the service fee were quite expensive for just my husband and myself. The wood fire was lovely and we did get to relax for a few days. The owners are selling this property and that may be the reason for the house not being as well kept as on previous visits. The view from the house is amazing and the bird life is spectacular. Thank youLynne"

"The house was clean except for the oven the grill tray had food and stuff all in still and the oven tray was dirty. The beds were not that comfy but that may be because I like soft beds but if you have a firm mattress you may find it really comfy and the pillows were hard so dont forget to take your own if you prefer soft pillows. The house is beautiful and the view is stunning and would definitely recommend to family and friends."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Lake Albert?
The best area to stay in Lake Albert is Milang, a historic lakeside town that offers a relaxed and convenient base for exploring the region.Milang is situated on the western shore of Lake Albert and is known for its charming, well-preserved streetscape with many buildings dating back to the 19th century. The main street, Coxe Street, runs parallel to the lake and features local shops and eateries. The town also boasts a jetty and a public reserve right on the lake, superb for enjoying the water.Couples looking for a tranquil getaway will find Milang particularly appealing. The quiet pace of life, scenic lake views, and opportunities for lakeside walks or birdwatching create a peaceful setting. Many accommodations here offer direct lake access or views, enhancing the romantic and relaxing feel.Families will also appreciate Milang for its open spaces and water activities. The foreshore area provides plenty of room for children to play, and the calm waters of Lake Albert are suitable for kayaking, fishing, or simply enjoying the beach.
When is the best time to go to Lake Albert?
The best time to visit Lake Albert is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November), when the weather is pleasantly mild and ideal for outdoor activities.During these months, you'll experience comfortable temperatures, great for exploring the lakeside and enjoying activities like kayaking, fishing, or birdwatching. The natural beauty of the area is particularly striking in spring with wildflowers in bloom, and in autumn with the changing colours of the landscape. It's also generally less crowded than the peak summer period, offering a more relaxed experience.Summer (December to February) can be quite hot, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C, which might be uncomfortable for some visitors, especially those not accustomed to Australian summers. While popular for water sports, the intense heat can limit other outdoor pursuits.Winter (June to August) brings cooler temperatures and more rainfall. While it can still be a good time for a quiet retreat, some outdoor activities might be less appealing.
