The Sanctuary

Luxury 2 bedroom air conditioned apartment on the exclusive Porto de Mos estate, with pool, 400 yards from the beach 5 mins to the nearest golf club. On the outskirts of Lagos, Porto de Mos is an exclusive area, built and finished to a high specification. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, master bedroom with en suite bathroom, a twin bedroom, a sofa bed and an additional bathroom.

Air conditioning throughout. Each room has it s own large balcony which leads onto its own private garden which overlooks a communal garden and pool area. The apartment has outside seating for al fresco dining. There is a shared swimming pool.

Lagos town centre is 5 mins by car or an easy 20 minute walk. It is a lovely town with a fantastic marina, excellent restaurants, shopping and many things to do for couples or families. Only 5 mins by car to the nearest golf course.

Very pretty location, the apartment was spacious and mostly clean. The bathroom could use a little extra cleaning and the lights had dead bugs in the covers but other than that, it was perfect!

Perfect Central Location

We thought the location of our stay was just perfect for us. We could hike the cliffs in either direction which we enjoyed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the birds in the mature gardens.

Great Stay

Really enjoyed our stay; great location near Lagos especially if you have/rent a car. Host was flexible and courteous and willing to answer any questions. Unit was clean and comfortable although we found the bed mattresses fairly hard and no amenities like extra toilet paper or garbage bags were supplied.

Great appartment in a great location!

It’s a very nice and big appartment located in a beautiful place. It’s perfect for vacations. We wished we had planed more nights at this place. The beache is awesome. The pool and semi-private garden is a bonus.

Excellent Stay

The place was clean and cute. The pool area looked very nice, but we didn’t have time to enjoy it bc we were busy exploring the town. Having washer in the unit was a big plus, so we did some laundry. João made the check-in and check-out very easy.

Wonderful 2 bedroom condo close to the beach and good area

2 bedroom unit is clean and in a nice quiet complex and furnished well. The outdoor furniture were extremely comfortable and of good quality. One minor problem that was resolved quickly with property manager. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Amazing property - we will be back

This property is absolutely amazing. Beautiful surroundings, very well designed interior for two couples. Front and back private terraces. Inground pool cleaned daily. Lots of flowers and trees, sunbeds and shade. Close to town, close to the beach. In short, it was perfect! And the price was excellent. We will definitely return.

Breathtaking property

Our stay at the Sanctuary was perfection! Everything from the communication with Joe and Joao, to the ease of entry, to the cleanliness of the apartment, the stunning landscaping and proximity to all our destination highlights was perfect! We had 5 adults in our group and really loved having 2 washrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and could easily accommodate a queen or king which would be a nice upgrade but we made due. The beds are quite firm but if you like that then you’ll be fine. We can’t say enough good things about this property! We truly hope to one day be able to stay here again. Thank you again for the lovely stay!!

Vacation from the vacation

Loved the location of the sanctuary - away from the hustle and bustle. This location is best if you have a car rental, as it is away from Lagos center and beaches are located on steep hills (for older folk, it may be a bit much) If you don’t have access to a phone plan - download WhatsApp to communicate with the caretaker - once you meet up, it is easy to access the apartments. Place was clean - loved that there are two bathrooms. We loved sitting on the balcony and having an afternoon swim during downtown. Super convenient to get to many attractions such as the cave tours or Sagres. Beautiful sandy beaches in every direction! Beds were comfortable and place was quiet in the evening

Amazing area and apartment

Absolutely amazing apartment, terrace and garden. Perfect for both adults and children. We hade every meal outside, morning sunshine and shade in the afternoon on hot days. Large bedrooms, a big dining room with sofa and TV. On top of this a large pool with a smaler jacuzzi. Joe is the most caring manager to find I think. No questions are to small to answer and very fast feedback. We will come back. feedback.

Great place to stay!

We spent a week in this lovely complex mid June and we were almost alone. Felt really exclusive. The apartment is in good condition, spacious rooms and lovely patio. We had almost all of our meals outside. Great outdoor environment with well kept green areas and a lovely pool, which is bigger than the pictures shows. The owner has four sunbeds free of charge. Spacious parking just outside the apartment. Walking distance to several popular beaches. No need to use the car. Will definitely come back. Note, the beds in the bedrooms are firm! Request for an extra mattress in advance if needed.

The pool was not heated so it was very cold. Same as the hot tub. I'm not sure why but it was ok because we were doing other things. Laundry was great. Host was very helpful

I wonderful apparment with two great terraces. You can allways find shadow somewere.The pool is excellent and large area arround with four sunbeds for relax. Sorrounding of the pool and also view from one of the terraces are a almost tropical garden. Large bedrooms and two nice bathrooms make it a perfect place for a familly with kids. A great place for relaxing during hollidays.Also Joe is the most caring landlord we ever have had. Strongly recomend this apparment.
