"We stayed at this VRBO property for 8 nights. Everything was fantastic. Place was spotless. Great beachfront location. Nice lunch place next door. A few other restaurants in the local area. We found ourselves going to Ribiera Grande most nights for dinner (10 minute drive). The beach was clean and most days perfect for swimming. Pretty gentle waves. Yesterday it was quite rough so no swimming. We booked a few excursions such as fishing, rock jumping etc and they were all really convenient. Great holiday. Thank you to the owners for sharing this property. Great time."

"Family friendly place to stay. I would say it is a neighborhood beach house so not fancy but a big place with enough room for everyone. Views of the beach and surf from the kitchen and patio and upstairs bedroom. Wonderful. You can walk to everything so the location is perfect. Parking is on the street and we could always find a spot. Since you are living in an actual neighborhood...there is a rooster, dogs and lots of feral cats. We enjoyed most of this except for mister rooster on the days we wanted to sleep a little longer but still very charming. Riberia Grande is a very homey place not touristy at all. Love this island too. Just breathtaking views and activities everywhere you turn."

"Ein wirklich tolles Haus mit phantastischem Meerblick!Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung, auch der Kücheneinrichtung, war perfekt. Schönes Mobiliar, großzügige helle Räumlichkeiten. Meerblick von 2 Räumen und der riesigen Terrasse. Der dritte Raum hatte Seitenblick auf die Berge.Die Terrasse hat einen überdachten Bereich mit Esstisch und Stühlen und 2 Liegesesseln und einen tollen Blick aufs Meer, den Hafen und den Ort mit der Kirche, hinter der wir an einigen Tagen den Sonnenuntergang beobachten konnten.Wir haben häufig draußen gesessen. Da es teilweise kühl und ein bisschen regnerisch und an anderen Tagen sehr sonnig war, kam uns die Überdachung sehr entgegen. Das Haus liegt oberhalb der Straße, weshalb der Blick ungestört war und der Verkehr uns nicht störte. Ein separater Laundry-Raum enthielt eine Waschmaschine und einen Wäscheständer. Die Räume wurden sehr sauber, mit liebevollen Arrangements übergeben. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber José war schnell und unkompliziert, José war sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit.Die Umgebung war abwechslungsreich, die Lage am Meer toll. Porto Formoso ist ein Dorf mit wenig Infrastruktur, es gibt einen winzigen Laden und ein rustikales Restaurant mit freundlicher englischsprechender Bedienung, in dem wir einmal zu Abend gegessen haben.Im Nachbarort Moinhos war der schönste Strand, den wir auf Sao Miguel hatten, und ein tolles Strandlokal mit sehr nettem Personal und leckerem Essen. Wir kommen gern wieder!"
