"The Quinta Amala was an amazing place. The location with the view over the landscape with rice fields and pine woods was beautiful. Each cabana, house, had privacy and were souronded by beautiful plants and flowers. Beautiful architecture of the houses, the pool area, lounges and dining room. "This is a beautiful resort that resets the mind and body. The room is spectacular with heated bathroom tiles and amenities. The food is very good with a variety of choices. The spa is very relaxing and you can stay by the pool and enjoy the atmosphere. The pool area is clean and you can enjoy the poolside bar and restaurant. There is a shuttle to the beach club that offers full service chairs, umbrella and food. It is a lovely resort."

"Excellent experience staff were super helpful and friendly - showed us around the property and answered all questions. Breakfast was delicious and even had gluten free options and bread on request. We rented bikes and went through the rice fields and then to the beach. Highly recommend!"

"Lovely, stylish hotel in beautiful, peaceful location. Generous breakfast and good- quality evening dining available, though there are also a handful of cafe/bar/restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. Staff without exception friendly and helpful, with good English. Very relaxing atmosphere. Anyone interested in birds, nature and ecology will love the lagoon reserve, with its varied habitats, and if you’re willing to walk a little, you can find huge stretches of glorious beach all to yourself - though beware the Atlantic swells if it’s windy. Half an hour’s scenic drive takes you down the coast to pretty Porto Covo with its cliffs, coves, cafes and gift shops, whilst beautiful Évora is a couple of hours away and makes a lovely change for a day out. Or just chill on the hotel’s rooftop pool/bar terrace and wander down to the beach if you want to stretch your legs. The lagoon is shallow, with no waves, so good for wallowing or splashing about with small people. There’s a lifeguard on the Atlantic side and warning flags to indicate swimming conditions. We loved it all…"
