"I was very satisfied with the hostel, the room was clean, bright, and spacious. The view from the window was also great. The owner was a very cheerful and kind person. I went to "Santuario de San Pedro de Alcantara", and the scenery was wonderful on the gentle 2.7km riverside road from the hostel to there, the birds singing and the babbling brook were soothing, and I was impressed by the scent of flowers when I breathed in. It was a very nice place."

"We had a warm welcome from the owner, and the apartment we stayed in was a good size, with a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The apartment is above a garage (separate to the rest of the hostel) and below the owners living area. The kitchen was mostly well equipped, with a microwave, oven, hob, filter coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, plenty of crockery and pans. "We recently stayed at Estrellas de Gredos and were really disappointed. The place has stunning mountain views and a traditional curved ceiling, but a lot of things went wrong. The biggest issue was a broken sliding door that wouldn’t lock. When we told the staff, they showed up unannounced at 22:00 and just said it was safe to leave it unlocked, which didn't sit right with us. The inside felt cheap too. The kitchen had flimsy Ikea stuff that looked like it could fall apart any minute. The...

"its a 1 star Hostal - so dont expect much and you will be pleasantly surprised. Aircon was good, Shower was a bit poor due to low water pressure but water was hot. Easy access and parking. Helpful guy at reception. Room was cleaned which we were not expecting. "
