"Old, unkempt facility. furniture in the room is old, decrepit and broken. Entrance to the facility is unappealing to a first-time visitor. One has the impression the place is an unabandoned building with no visible security presence. Needed a confirmation from a passer by before entering. Charging over GHS3,000 (USD243) for two nights was a complete rip-off. "

"The staff and workers were friendly and made me feel welcomed. The room I booked was not available at the time I arrived, so I was upgraded to the deluxe suite. I like the suite because it has a balcony with a nice view of the city. "

"This being my third visit to Pelican, several of the staff I met earlier greeted me and it was almost like extended family. The physical layout was nice before and even better now. Our suite was very comfortable and spacious; it had a great kitchen and separate place to work at a desk. The quiet rooms and serene atrium are a peaceful contrast to the noise that fills much of the city and beyond. Service was great--the only improvement area is the front desk needs to have change available for people paying in cash (plus to provide for tips, etc.)."
"I particularly loved the staff, all categories. They gave the place a warm family touch. As the famous phrase goes in Ghana, you certainly felt "invited"! --- Furthermore, in the weekends many locals came to visit the beautiful big pool area, and the whole place vibrated with lively activity, including the man by the grill preparing delicious meat and sausage dishes. --- The breakfast was always a real treat, and you stayed satisfied for a long time of the day. --- The room was always kept very clean and neat, however, I would have liked complimentary water bottles every day, but the nearby super-market took care of that need. Also, around the corner from the hotel a small, but well-stocked wine store is to be found, and most other needs can easily be covered around the hotel. --- Given the many guests at the hotel, it is still surprisingly quiet during the evening and night. --- Technically, the WiFi worked without much hassle, and so did the AC, shower, etc. --- The hotel also has a biiiiig gym, free of charge for its guests. --- In summary, I definitely strongly can recommend the hotel for a short or long visit!"
"William was very helpful although I wasn’t pleased with his “uber service” and the forex bureau rate. Regardless, he was very helpful and supportive. Thank you, Helena, Margaret, and the young lady who cleaned upstairs. You were all fantastic helping me deal with my ailing mother. To the restaurant staff, you were great! Especially the gentleman at the reception who heated our food and made sure my mum always had enough to eat. Without your kind gesture, I wouldn’t have been able to take care of my mother in Ghana. Thank you and I hope to see you again when I return to Ghana."
