"Kamer was schoon, absoluut verboden wat dan ook te eten op de kamer. Zeer slechte afvoer, met hels kabaal van sanibroyeur. Je schrok bij iedere keer doortrekken, ook midden in de nacht (partner)Brood was vers. Stuk stokbrood, boterham. Beleg weinig keus, voornamelijk jam, 1 plakje ham, stukje hard Comte. Orange jus vers. vriendelijke mensen. Zeker niet geschikt voor zakenreizigers."

But if you’re looking for staying in a genuine old French country cottage, with welcoming owners and good food this place is worth a try. "This is a unique property - very rural and peaceful, but within striking distance of Toulouse. The couple and their young daughter acquired the house and estate in 2018 to develop it as a vineyard, and a year later they opened four guest rooms. The breakfast was fantastic and the swimming pool was a wonderful bonus."

"I found this to be a traditional Chambre d'Hôte, where you don't feel you are in a hotel but rather a guest in the house of the owners. My room was comfortable and quiet, the breakfasts were very good, and the hosts were welcoming. What more do you need? The house is about a 10-minute walk from Gaillac across the river. It is also a fairly short drive into Albi, which is a small city that is well worth exploring."
