8/10 Good
"Large 80’s style hotel. Clean open spaces . Large rooms . It’s as if you went into a time warp and landed in 1983 . No renovation but everything still in order . The blow dryer useless so bring your own if you need it . Cafeteria and breakfast buffet have a decent selection of drinks and food nothing fancy . It needs a major upgrade . Beds and pillows need to be more comfortable much more comfortable!!!! Fridge is not stocked ! . It’s a good place for a night or two if you are in large groups or your operations"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in La Haba?
La Haba is a small, traditional Spanish village, so the best area to stay is generally within the village itself, or just on its outskirts for a rural retreat. For those seeking a genuine local experience and convenience, staying directly in La Haba is ideal. The village is compact, centred around the Plaza de España, where you'll find the church and local amenities. It's a quiet village where you can enjoy the pace of rural life and interact with the local community. Couples looking for a peaceful getaway often appreciate the village's relaxed atmosphere.Alternatively, for families or those desiring more space and privacy, consider a rural guesthouse or 'casa rural' just outside the village. These properties often come with gardens or even small pools, offering a comfortable base to relax after exploring the Extremadura region.
When is the best time to go to La Haba?
The best time to visit La Haba is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.Spring offers pleasant temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of Extremadura. The countryside is lush and green, and the wildflowers are in bloom, creating beautiful landscapes for walks or drives. This season is particularly good for those interested in birdwatching, as many migratory species pass through or nest in the region.Autumn provides similarly comfortable temperatures, usually between 18°C and 28°C, and the landscape takes on a golden hue as the leaves change. This period is excellent for experiencing local harvest festivals and enjoying the region's culinary delights, such as freshly cured Iberian ham. It's also a good time for visiting the nearby historical towns without the peak summer crowds. While summer (July and August) can be very hot, with temperatures often exceeding 35°C, it's a suitable time for those who enjoy the intense sunshine and prefer to spend their afternoons by a pool or enjoying cooler evenings. It's also when many local fiestas take place, offering a glimpse into traditional Spanish culture. However, sightseeing during midday can be challenging due to the heat.Winter (November to March) in La Haba is generally mild, with average temperatures between 5°C and 15°C, though nights can be chilly. This is the quietest time to visit, offering a peaceful experience for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy the tranquil rural setting.
