"Hotel Azura is a beautiful, peaceful resort that's perfect if you're looking to relax and reset. The property is very clean, the staff is friendly, and there are plenty of places to lounge by the pools and beach. The pools were beautiful, although leaves from the surrounding trees often ended up in the water. The staff worked hard to keep them clean.
This is not a party resort, so don't expect entertainment or nightlife. Also, keep in mind it's about a 2.5 to 3-hour drive from the airport and most excursions.
The food was excellent, but the restaurant service was very slow, even when it wasn't busy. My room was spacious and clean, but I wasn't a fan of the overhead rain shower since I prefer not to get my hair wet every time I shower. The bathroom also has a very open layout with little privacy.
My biggest complaint was housekeeping. They entered my room at least twice a day, often without notice, which made me uncomfortable. Once a day would have been more than enough.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Hotel Azura is a gorgeous resort with amazing food and a relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, I'd definitely recommend it."
"We had the best time at Domo!! The whole team are fantastic, they really go above and beyond. We would LOVE to come back any time we're in Nosara again. Can't recommend enough!!"
"We enjoyed our stay at Hideaway. The house made brownie is delicious! We enjoyed the waterfall in the pool, and Samara beach was a short walk away. The staff was friendly and the food at the restaurant delicious. This place had the best ceviche!"
Your Dream Costa Rica Villa - Ocean View Lap Pool - Private Chef-Secret Beach
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at this home during our first trip to Costa Rica. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the owner was very communicative and helpful while preparing for our visit.Alexandria and Sonia were exceptional—always kind, welcoming, and discreet while keeping the home spotless. Their hospitality truly enhanced our experience. Having a washer and dryer was also a huge convenience, especially with all of the activities our family enjoyed during the week. The living room, foyer, and kitchen are not air-conditioned, but each bedroom has A/C, which made for very comfortable sleeping. For future guests, it’s worth noting that if you’re hoping for an easy, safe walk to a swimmable beach where you can spend the day, this may not be the best fit. The beach access was farther than we expected, and we didn’t feel comfortable making the walk with our family, so we relied on drivers instead. Fortunately, we spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful pool, which worked out perfectly for us.Our airport driver initially had difficulty finding the home using the original location provided, but the owner responded immediately via WhatsApp with an updated GPS pin. Once we received it, navigation was easy for the rest of our stay.Overall, this home was exactly what we were looking for. If your priority is stunning views, outstanding hospitality, and a peaceful place to relax, you’ll have a wonderful stay."
"My family and I stayed in room 7 at Nosara Beach Hotel and the room was clean and nicely decorated, with incredible views of the jungle and the ocean from the balcony. The hotel staff is so kind, welcoming and helpful and if you don’t speak Spanish everyone there is bilingual and speaks excellent English. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, pool was exceptionally clean and so relaxing. We ate breakfast there daily, which was included, and it was all so delicious and the coffee was great. The ocean views from the restaurant terrace are absolutely stunning! The hotel has special access to Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada which was super convenient for our family with young kids. The hotel offers many activities including massages in your room, canopy/zip line tours, snorkeling on Pink Island, and much more. We didn’t have time to take advantage of their activities but we will definitely be back since there is so much to explore. We loved Nosara and this hotel offers the best location for beach and town access and is one of the closest hotels to the ocean. We did have a few ants in the room and one spider in the bathroom but we saw less the longer we were there- but you’re also in the jungle! We saw more insects at our home in Los Angeles than we did here. This hotel was wonderful and I’m so glad we got to stay there for our first, but not the last, trip to Costa Rica!"
