The road here from Nice was awesome to drive on - The locals are friendly, the area is surrounded by all sorts of little gems. Even extended my stay by a day."

"Even better than the pictures, in our opinion. Incredibly beautiful home in an amazing location. The property is expansive and unique - we loved the wild lavender and rosemary everywhere. Not far at all to Nice and a perfect, quiet escape from the city. Dominique was a great and communicative host, and gave us several nearby spots to check out. Highly recommend."

"Fantastic location in the Alps, with easy reach to Menton, Monaco and other seaside locations. The property provides you with a well-equipped kitchen and terrace on the top level and a lovely double bedroom, living room area, shower room and utility room on the lower level, accessible either via an internal spiral staircase or through the garden. The property is pet friendly and has the garden secured which was ideal for our two dogs, giving them plenty of space to explore. We drove there from UK and despite the narrow roads in some places, our ford C max was ok to reach everywhere we wanted to go.The host, Claude, has been fantastic, providing us with useful information of how to get to the property and what we can see/do around the area. We have been fortunate enough to get to see a bit of their family history, Claude arranging with her brother-in-law to show us the family olive oil mill, where they still produce their own olive oil (Many thanks to Lucien too for showing us around and explaining us the process of producing the oil). Overall we’ve had a fantastic holiday and hopefully we will go back again in the coming years. "

"We stayed for17 days and travelled across most of the Cot d'azure in that time but be aware, parking can be difficult in Berre and 2 buses are needed to reach Nice. Only an uncovered duvet was left on the beds. We had to find covers in cupboards. No information from our contact. Whenever information was required, we had to contact the property owner because the property manager seemed unable to respond. This persisted until the final checkout and meant that all requests had to be relayed to both the manager and the owner. The property needs basic attention such as cleaning, the garden is barren due to lack of attention. On the plus side, the kitchen / utensils and the shower were great. No WiFi, noisy at night due to local lads drinking and loud discussions until 2 AM....but what else is there for them to do in a village on top of a mountain. Views are fantastic. The village is fine for a couple of days stay but no more. If you are even slightly nervous driving through switch backs on the mountain road, think again."

"We couldn’t be happier with our choice of Charolette’s House. The house was comfortable, clean and decorated with French country style. The grounds were picturesque and the pool was delightful. We had balcony and yard tables for dining while taking in the Mountain View. Our hosts were great. They were welcoming, accommodating and yet gave us lots of privacy. I also fell in love with their adorable cats and friendly dog. Charolette’s House is a real gem, I would highly recommend it."

"Amazing views of Nice, the Alps and the coast, just a 30 minute drive from Monaco, and a short walk to the centre of Peille. Very relaxing stay with my wife and dog. The host was very friendly and his breakfasts were so so good! The parking is helpful too. Hopefully we can stay again."
