Keloveska by Interhome

Located in the wonderful scenery of Ruka, the little cabin is suitable for cabin life or as a base for nature walkers, fishermen and skiers. Built in 1995, the lovely log cottage is located on the shore of Lake Iso-Veskajärvi (not an actual beach), at the end of the road, in your own peace.

The cottage has been completely renovated during the years 2023–2024. Keloveska's kitchen has a refrigerator, an electric oven and an induction hob with two stoves, and the fireplace adds atmosphere to the room. Extendable sofa bed for two people (bed size approx. 150x203). Electric heater in the sauna, shower and toilet in the bathroom. There is an open porch in front of the cottage and a campfire place at the beach.

The distance from the cottage to the fishy Iso-Veskajärvi is about 30 meters. In winter, Ruka's ski trail network can be accessed from the vicinity of the cottage (next to the road leading to the cottage).

Lovely lakeside cabin

I enjoyed my stay, the cabin is small and basic, but with everything you need: fridge, small hob, log fire, heating, sauna and shower. It's double glazed and very warm.The sofa pulls out into a double bed, which is a bit tricky to do and takes up a lot of the room, but if you are one person you can just use it as a single bed.It's quiet and secluded, there is a boat you can use on the lake and a fire site beside the lake too.The nearest shops are half an hour's drive.
