"Have to upkeep, else in a very short while it will be run down... feet marks on the walls inside the room and dirty walls. The rattan net lamp shade is very dusty. lots of ants in the room, the table, floor, toilet... "

"Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable, particularly liked the bathroom with the walk in shower, unlike some hotels that have the shower in the bath. Being an older person a walk in shower is much safer. As well, breakfast was included in the room price which is very helpful when travelling. Thank you Meritin Hotel for a pleasant comfortable stay."

"Booked hotel as was walking distance to airport. Wasn't expecting much of hotel. But it was very good. Only stayed one night but wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Night food market close by. Lovely room."

"The mall attached isn’t the best one in the area but if you want to do sown shopping or kill time, it’s connected to the hotel. The prices are good! They have a train ride kids can do but no playground. The hotel was great. I wish it had a thicker blanket BUT that’s probably not something I would say when it’s hot. The breakfast was good with lots of food and drink options. Omg the menu food was delicious and we got in around midnight, but fortunately they’re open 24 hrs. It was exactly what we needed after a 7 hour delay in the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel. I travel with a 4 year old and we felt safe and comfortable. The gym was good too. "

"The Waterfront is a fantastic hotel in a brilliant location. Our room (as many others) had a wonderful view across the river to the golden roofed Sarawak State Assembly building and the Astana Palace and entertained us with a fabulous water fountain and light show every evening. The staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. We loved the hotel and Kuching. The only thing we didn’t like was the toilet seat, which was not of a quality to match everything else about the hotel. Overall, we would certainly recommend it."
