Lack maintenance , Poor environment

Lift broke down, carried luggage from gf to 2f Spoiled lighting, 5 lamp in room and only 1 functioning. Bad smell blanket. Noisy environment during night due to nearby night club. And I'm sleeping with Ants!!

In the middle of nowhere ...

No WIFI on Level 2 No parking ... The ventilation system brings cigarette smoke from other rooms into your room. There are signs all around for "no smoking", but the hotel stinks of smoke. A number of strangers, maybe locals are always in the lobby/reception area ... either smoking or eating ...

Godt hotel til prisen

Petanak lodge ligger et kvarters gang fra centrum, dog ligger der en masse hyggelige madsteder omkring hotellet. 400 meter derfra ligger et rigtig fot og stort fitnesscenter. Værelserne havde, hvad man skulle bruge, dog var håndklæder og toiletpapir ikke det, der var mest af. Tv-kanalerne var ikke noget specielt, men WiFi var kanon.

Eher zweite Wahl Hotel

Unser Zimmer war ok, relativ sauber und ruhig. Leider hat man kein funktinierendes W-lan, das funktioniert ausschließlich in der Lobby. Das Zimmer hatte zwar ein Fenster, das war aber sehr klein und ließ nicht öffnen, daher war es nur hinderlich da man Morgens keinen Vorhang zuziehen konnte. Ausstattung wie Wasserkocher etc. ist zwar vorhanden, aber alles in eher schlechtem Zustand. Das Hotel liegt zudem recht weit vom Stadtzentrum sodass man immer viel unterwegs sein muss wenn man etwas tun möchte.

Perfect option for a budget stay.

I booked this place online without really knowing what to expect. My top two priorities were clean beds and clean toilets, not exactly in that order though and this checked both those boxes. The staff consists of some of the most wonderful people I've met and are very helpful. They fulfilled all the requests I had. The rooms are cleaned every morning like clockwork so you always have fresh sheets and fresh towels to go back to. You might face a bit of a problem with the internet connectivity in the room but it works fine in the lobby area and if you are planning to visit the waterfront area regularly, it's a bit of a walk from the lodge though cabs can easily be called for any time.

A convenient but hidden location

Walking distance to Kuching Old town and local wet market. A very convenient location, the lodge was surrounded with 7-11mini market, local food stall/restaurent, karaoka box, massage shop, local temple and link to many famous places. And also a walking distance to Ang Cheng Hoh jetty. The uncomfort is the karaoka box which ended late around 4 to 5am. Appox. 30 to 45minutes to airport.

Comfortable room but location is not ideal

The hotel is a couple of doors away from a karaoke center and we can hear singing up until 1 am in the morning. The hotel is quite a walking distance away from the waterfront and town center.
