A bit dated and worn (threadbare armchairs), belying the photos online, with a very minimally equipped kitchen (great microwave with crisping feature though!). But, the front desk and housekeeping staff were very responsive and quickly fixed any deficiencies. We were disappointed to find out on arrival that the AC was out of order (a long-standing problem about which we could have been notified to allow a decision to relocate), however a fan was provided, and with a balcony door and windows that opened the room temperature was comfortable. Location was great - a half hour walk to the Viaduct Quay and Ferry Terminal in one direction, and the Auckland Domain in the other, with a huge selection of shops and restaurants along both routes. Overall: clean, safe, very spacious room, conveniently located, and excellent value for the price. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

everything is great good location, staffs polite and helpful clean, well design room nice classic spacious. our new favourite hotel now. we stayed in many hotels in Auckland over the years some of them double the price but not as nice as this one i am booking 2 nights this weekend for my sister after write this review

Room and staff were great. The buffet breakfast was good although the bread and pastries were rather dry as if they were unwrapped too early.
