About this property
Holiday Home Trohi - Restored heritage house between the mountain and the sea
Situated in a natural park, ideal for hiking, bike rides and within 10 minutes drive from the beaches. Trohi home breathes living history, an example of local architectural tradition built in the 19th century and restored for modern comforts. Made of 3 standalone houses - you will have an ideal setting for spending time together in the enclosed garden or enjoying privacy in your own house.
The space The Trohi villa is composed of three standalone and fully equipped heritage stone houses surrounded by a spacious garden and swimming pool, immersed within the natural park Ucka. A place where you can share time together, disconnect and recharge (but don't worry there is also internet connection). The three houses have each a private living room with TV, kitchen with all the appliances, fully equipped bathroom and bedroom with a double bed - yet each has a unique style and character. The spaces are air-conditioned and have all the perks you need for a relaxing holiday. All spaces get thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before your arrival.
The layout of the property ensures each of the houses enjoys its privacy while at the same time the outside space offers spacious areas to share time together. The outdoor area compromises also of a spacious covered terraces with a large dining table and kitchen with barbecue, as well as some intimate sitting areas.
Trohi is located in a heritage rich, rural area - perfect for both mountain and sea lovers with the Ucka mountain range and the most beautiful beaches of Rabac and Labin at 15 minutes drive. From here you will be able to easily explore all the charms of the Istria region, the many local restaurant, wineries, the picturesque towns of Labin, Motovun and Opatija, or take a ferry to reach the stunning island of Cres. At walking distance you will find also a local food shop for all essentials and many other shops in the city of Labin (15min drive).
Come and immerse yourself in the lightness of the Istrian living!
The story of Trohi The name Trohi comes from Trohilici, the name of the Istrian family that used to live on the property more than a century ago. A century later, our family fell in love with this Istrian stone gem and, proud of its Istrian heritage, turned into a contemporary home. The houses have been refurbished by local stonemasons following the traditional art and style of Istrian stone building with locally sourced materials, while for the décor our family gave it a personal touch.
