"This motel was much better than expected. The room was large and well appointed. Everything worked as it should, and the breakfast was excellent. They even provide a real plate and real stainless steel forks.
The only draw-back was the stairs to our second floor room. The steps were very narrow and steep."
"Hamilton is a lovely community and we were looking for pet-friendly accommodations on our way through the Bitterroot Valley. We appreciate that they do not charge a pet fee. The room was clean and adequately appointed. The carpet looked a bit tired, but we expect this in rooms that allow pets. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard with both hot and cold fare. Ample parking. Best feature was the lovely park right next door with lots of walking paths and access to the Bitterroot River. I saw deer in the fields and was told there's a resident moose who sometimes makes an appearance."
"My stay at the Gateway was nothing short of incredible. The building is an older building but they keep it immaculate. I could not see one deferred maintenance item on the property. The room was exceptionally clean, well appointed and the beds very comfortable. It was very hot outside but they had turned on the AC so the room felt amazing when we stepped inside. Even the ice machine was new looking. The pool is one of the best I've ever seen. It was recently redone and is the darkest, cleanest blue water. There was an automatic cleaner working the bottom. Stuff you expect to find in a 4 star big city hotel. The front desk staff was outstanding and very helpful. We were there for 1 night and had ridden in on motorcycles. We woke up to an unexpected rain squall passing through the area. On the way to breakfast I noticed the front desk clerk had rolled up 4 small.towels and placed them on our motorcycles. Who does that? I had noticed the small basket in the lobby when checking in that has small towels in them and a sign asking guests to use those towels for wiping things instead of using the room towels. Breakfast was basic and covered our needs. I hope I can find a reason to come back to Grangeville just to stay at The Gateway again. We were just passing through, but the room was one of the highlights of the trip. I could not recommend them more."
"I simply cannot say enough good things about the City Center Motel. This was one of several stays in a road trip through BC, MT and ID and without a question our top pick! First out, the owner (who happened to be on site when we checked in) is lovely. She went above and beyond to accompany special requests, made wonderful locale-relevant suggestions, etc. and is someone who clearly cares deeply about her community. Our room (King Studio) was completely spotless--immaculate really. Welcoming. Tastefully and thoughtfully executed--Beautifully made out beds with extra yummy linens and deliciously thick towels. There are so many little touches that subtly move this a notch above simply a great night's stay. Small things like the mirror inset into the big walk-in shower (which was a delicious with strong rainshower) for my partner's morning shave, a refrigerator/freezer that accommodated everything we'd packed). And a sweet takeaway tote that is always useful for roadtripping! Their name says it --great central location that is an instant walkabout to this wonderful and fully charming town. We will make a point to route through Hamilton again and again!"
