"Wow, wow, wow! This is a great place to stay. Very comfortable, spacious and super welcoming. Breakfast is fantastic and there’s a nice happy hour. The rural area is quiet and beautiful. Walk to the pub up the road for dinner. Stop at the glow worm dell to see glow worms shine at night. The owner/host is a gem!"

"The Hokitika Fire Station is a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable, spacious, clean, complete with all the amenities we needed and wanted. We'd happily stay there again and regret only staying for one night. It is in a good location with parking just behind the building. The beach is a short walk away as is the main street with various dining, drinking and shopping options.
