The staff was very nice and helpful. The property is okay but is starting to show its age. The view out to the pacific is fantastic, the spa was great but the food is limited and the chef focuses on presentation rather than taste. The pools were clean and not crowded.

It was our first time in Samui and the Renaissance property, which we chose based on overall ratings and the location with access to a private lagoon-type beach. Great overall experience with friendly staff and delicious restaurant choices. Special shoutout to the front office manager, Budsarin (BUD) Boonwan! We will definitely return for more stays in the future. Thank you, Marriott, for sharing this hidden gem with us all!

Stunning hotel! Gorgeous location. Staff are amazing. Our room was one of the nicest on our entire trip. Had our own small pool overlooking the ocean. Wow!! Recommend the beach BBQ and fire show. Incredible.

Wonderful stay for our honeymoon!
We stayed 6 nights at the Renaissance Koh Samui for our honeymoon and we highly recommend it! Our villa was very comfortable, the amenities were great, and the environment was very beautiful. We also enjoyed the beachside pool, the massages we got at the spa, and all the food we ate at their restaurants. We booked a number of experiences outside of the hotel (not through the hotel), specifically a cruise around Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park, a Thai cooking class, and a visit to an elephant sanctuary, and all of them were able to pick us up directly from the hotel.

Hotel made an error in our reservation which was very frustrating and disappointing as it was made 8 months before stay and reconfirmed weeks before the stay. We were only told about the error when we were checking in at night which made alternative options very difficult. Other than that, hotel had great staff hospitality and friendliness.

OMGGGG this hotel is spectacular!! We stayed over NYE and from the moment we got there, it was luxurious! From service to accommodation to food, by far the best hotel in the islands! We had a private villa with a private pool in the garden section (highly recommend for privacy) and it felt like a movie! From the giant room and beautiful pool and bes and shower...so many amazing amenities! The property is stunning and the beach is so great! The food is unbelievable!! The morning buffet is epic! The hotel staff, to management to attendants and all so lovely! Would stay here in a heartbeat!

The Renaissance is such a beautiful place to stay, the rooms are great, good food, great pools and the amazing staff and service make the stay so enjoyable. White and Game were key standouts during our stay. Nothing was too difficult, they were so kind, friendly, helpful and made our stay so enjoyable. Definitely recommend staying here if you are in Koh Samui.

A great hotel in a quiet area outside of the Lamai Beach area. The hotel staff were amazing and very helpful throughout our stay. Food from their onsite restaurant Tawan was outstanding and affordably priced. My only issues with the hotel room was the lighting seemed a bit dim everywhere and the water temperature in the shower was impossible to get cold at all.

Fabulous tropical hotel! Great views! Great staff!
Set in a beautiful tropical setting, Renaissance Koh Samui's attention to detail is impeccable! The staff are absolutely lovely! From Tai our room attendant, to Sun, Deh and Tony, we felt well looked after. The beach is very private though the sea is a bit shallow. The inclusive menu could do with changing a bit more often but you could also go for the A la carte menu and there are restaurants close by with excellent food! We wished we could have stayed longer! Highly recommended!

Amazing stay in Samui
The grounds were amazing but what really made this stat incredible was the level of service and kindness of the staff. My boyfriend and I are vegan and they made sure to accommodate our needs every single morning, going above and beyond to make us special dishes. The yoga class we took was great and the Thai massage class was incredible, as well.

So much potential, but just a poor quality facility. We booked a king size bed, but got 2 twin mattresses succeed together. Had to move rooms where we were told it was a real king size only to be 2 more twins with a better mattress topper. Hallways were dark and the floors were dirty. It really needs to be power washed. There was a rat nest in the eaves of our balcony. Lots of dilapidated fixtures and awkward parts to rooms. A road cuts through the facility so lots of road noise too. Staff was inexperienced and not very accommodating. Only good staff was Max who took care of us very well. We wound up leaving early and moving to a much nicer resort for our final night even though we paid for the night here. Won't be back.

We recently stayed at Renaissance for 8 nights,it was a beautiful hotel with 2 nice pools,all the credit to staff who made our stay wonderful with their smiles and unparalleled service.The morning breakfast buffet was great with terrific spread,choices of food and fresh juices.The hotel food was decent with choice of three restaurants. it was a peaceful stay although surrounding area not too great and beach area not swim able but hotel ambiance and gardens very relaxing and enjoyable.Thanks for upgrading us to pool villas our kids had great time.Thank you Renaissance for a memorable stay,Definitely recommend.

The Renaissance is well laid out and set among beautiful tropical gardens. We had an ocean villa which had beautiful views looking towards Lamai which we enjoyed whilst in the plunge pool / spa. The resort is a little isolated (when compared with say hotels near Bophut) but there are some options around (such as the Beach Republic and Uncle Rangs) and it is only about a 15-20 walk along to northern end of Lamai. The food at the hotel restaurants was of good quality and the staff are excellent. Overall a very enjoyable stay

We booked the hotel because of the good reviews. We were not disappointed on the contrary. Couldn’t be any better. I am traveling a lot so I know hotels. Very friendly staff asking for further help or assistance and giving it happily. The hotel is very clean, quiet and the food in the restaurants are very delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation, it was the perfect relaxing 4 day stay, staff were first class with their attentive approach and continuous smiling faces, nothing was too much trouble for them. Our suite was first class and the views over the bay were at times spectacular, especially the stunning sun set.

What a blissful experience. The most polite and friendliest staff, beautiful pool which is right on the beach and decent coffee! Only advice is that for the rate one pays, free shuttle to and from airport would add the final touch. Can not wait to go back!

We enjoyed a two week holiday at the end of Nov 2018. The staff at this hotel are fantastic. They made us feel so welcome and valued. The food was amazing, we ate at the pool bar and the two restaurants and could not fault any of it. The pool is lovely and warm and looks out onto the small but perfect beach. The road leading up to the hotel was undergoing maintenance which caused a minor issue but is very likely all completed by now. I would highly recommend this hotel and spa. The two hour spa was the perfect way to relax..
