Excellent choice in free buffet breakfast and staff were very helpful and available. The property has excellent views of the ocean and backdrop of wooded area. Lots of birds and nature filled feeling to this property. We loved it. Highly recommended

We stayed for 4 nights- it’s definitely remote - incredible views from pool and restaurant- food was decent- drinks excellent-strawberry daiquiri at happy hour is a must! - very attentive staff - the spa women were lovely - it was a little too remote for us- next time we would likely stay closer to town and the ocean - we had ocean view suite and the second bed was a day bed that had a very thin mattress- I let the staff know the next morning (didn’t sleep- like sleeping on cement pad) and they immediately brought 2 bed toppers which improved things significantly - they use bamboo charcoal shampoo and bath supplies which were divine - pool was great- chairs and towels readily available and poolside drink service - if you are looking for a quiet get away - a romantic getaway- or a great work space this would be a perfect pick for you - the drive is super steep so not the next for people with mobility issues - they have a golf cart to drive people around when needed - but the few times we walked down to lobby it was defiantly very steep

Perfect place for “me time” & couples. I went solo and it was everything and more. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Even though it’s not too close to activities, it was still accessible due to the fact that they have their own taxi service. Overall it was a pleasure. Would recommend.

A lovely resort in the mountains with a beautiful view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and well-presented and, as if that wasn’t enough, it was all very reasonably priced. We had a wonderful holiday.

Back in 2014, I stayed at this hotel with fond memories. Unfortunately, this time in 2023 it was bad. The room had a great view, but the water temperature was either too hot or too cold, the door lock was faulty - the wind literally blew the door open. The breakfast wasn’t good and the staff at the restaurant didn’t give a friendly/welcoming vibe, but what made things worse was that my mom found an iron wire in the fried rice which was dangerous. The manager’s response was slow and in the end he did offer us free transportation to and from the airport. If you have to go for this hotel, don’t take their breakfast.

We had such a nice time at this resort. The rooms are spacious and the huge balconies have a great view over the harbour to look at from the sun loungers. The pool is really nice and the restaurant also has great views. The staff are friendly and all the facilities are clean and modern. It's not super close to town, but a great choice if you want a quiet place to relax, and worth it for the views!

Outstanding views. Lovely staff. Large, comfortable rooms. One of the best pools on the island. And one of the best hotel gyms on the island. Cocktails and food were high quality. They have a massive co-work space with sprawling ocean views complete with a Playstation 4, lol. I'm impressed!

This resort has been one of the best that I have seen and experienced. The views are breathtaking as it is located on top of a mountain overlooking the ocean. The hotel also can arrange for you to go to the beach. I recommend the fisherman village beach. The staff is the most professional that I have seen. Khun Mod, the front desk manager goes out of her way to provide a first-class service to the guest. She is always smiling, friendly and helpful with paying attention to detail. Tony is the best chef ever. You must try his cooking. The lady giving massage is the most professional masseur. Khun Prod, Khun Ann, and all other staff that I can't remember the names make your stay to be just first class and wonderful. The hotel rooms are huge and you will find everything you need. The television set in my room was a smart tv set which means that I could project my mobile phone on it and enjoy the regular programming that I use on my phone. And the pool? Infinity and ocean view. I loved swimming there. It is a true 5-star resort. You will not regret staying in this resort.

We have stayed at the Mantra three times before the refurbishment and I can only say it has backwards. The staff used to be so friendly and helpful. We received Zero recognition on loyalty. The language barrier seems to be harder now with staff unable to understand. Thai people are traditionally very welcoming and warm. I never felt that with the staff at Mantra. Laziness at breakfast with staff talking to each other instead of serving coffee and tea. Breakfast was like ground hog day. The same thing every single day. The options are so basic. We paid for a love suite which sits high on the price list. Access was down a damp corridor and several flights of tiny stairs. The room smelt of damp but was spacious and modern. All of the previous owners charm and design has gone. I have some issues about not being able to lock the doors. Transfers between the main areas used to be free at the designated times. This is now charged and on par with taxi prices. However, the hotel will not call a taxi for you. The closest road for flagging a taxi is a 15 minute walk away. The hotel offered to take us to the main road for a fee. The hospitality focus has gone. Its a money grab now with no smile. Even when we checked out. No one helped with baggage to the airport transfer. Three members of staff stood talking. I'm sorry to say that we won't be back. If I had been able to cancel my booking during the trip I would have.

Great hotel! The pool is beautiful, the rooms are huge and have a cool modern vibe. The staff was friendly and the gym was nice with a wide variety of machines. The breakfast is good, the selection isn’t huge but it is definitely a good meal. The view from the breakfast area and the hotel is AMAZING! The location of the hotel is good and bad at the same time. You have to take a taxi everywhere because it’s really secluded but that’s what makes the hotel so quite and relaxing. The only area that’s very close to the hotel is Fisherman’s village... overall- 8.5 out of 10. Highly recommended!

I expected more for what I paid.
We are a family of 4, and I picked the ocean view suite to accommodate the whole family (with two kids aged 10 and 12). Unfortunately, there was a bug in the queen bed (my kids slept in it) and then a spider in the bathroom. The king bed was way too hard. Pillows were so high and uncomfortable. My husband and I felt that this was actually one of the worst beds we’ve had for a in a hotel for long time, and the pillows made it worse. Breakfast choices were so little - only pork and rice for savoury options. Bread was not great either. Rather disappointing.

Fine resort in Koh Samui
Great facilities, beautiful views and amazing service. Hotel offers great breakfast, large rooms, fully equipped gym and a marvoules infinity pool. The only thing to take in considiation that it is on a top of a hill, therefore, getting in and out of the resort will always require a taxi (unless you have time and you are adventuress )

Location of hotel and wonderful views which I could enjoy from restaurant, swimming pool and my room and balcony. Room was cleaned daily; towels was replaced daily. Standard rooms are well equipped with a large king-size bed as well as fridge, large TV, walk in shower and hard flooring with makes lot cleaner.

Good hotel
Hotel itself beautiful, all staff were amazing, pool lovely as well as view. Bad points, we were in a wow room and could hear every footstep upstairs like an elephant was walking round and could hear the conversations from the room next door we were in room 1117. Another is the pool drinks are very highly priced, a bottle of Chang I think was 180 or 190 baht virtually double any other bar on the island would have sat drinking them all day if they were reasonably priced. Also be prepared to have the same argument with every taxi driver as they go “ooh up in the hills” and give you a look like this is a big job on (driving up a hill) then asking for a rediculus amount.

The hotel is beautiful and clean. The breakfast isnt varied enough. Many times food ended in the buffet and wasnt filled even after I asked.

Nice property but way too far away in the mountain. Roads should be upgraded and entrance road must be wider. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable. From Linda Atkinson

The view was amazing and the design is very nicely built. There was a rusting roof right under the swimming pool and above the games room. Maybe the water dripping from the swimming pool is causing this but this can be quite dangerous if it were to collapse.
