Don’t book this hotel!
It’s terrible stay in Thailand, a place of hospitality. The front desk staff was not helpful at all. I arrived at Samui at about 8 o’clock. I was so rush to book some activity trip for the next day. I asked the girl for more details. She just said “ sorry, ALL those office are closed. Let’s do the check in first.” She was not trying to help. After check in, I found that there were three travel agents were opening at that time! There were few more times that I found that girl was a machine only. She was not here to give help! Most of all, don’t try to use, or even look at, the water pot! It was HORRIBLE! I tried to use it. When I wanted to wash it before use, gosh, the inner surface was full of dust, or water dirt, or...... I dunno what it was. Just can say, it’s full of something that made me disgusted!

Lovely hotel close to the centre with lots of shops and restaurants near by. Room was lovely and spacious. Unfortunately shower is cold and not very powerful but otherwise I can’t fault it. We had a lovely stay here.

Great location
Lovely hotel in a great location next to the main road and 60 second walk to the beach. Live bands in the bar and staff were really helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were great, room was clean. I was made to feel welcome. I could check in early and out late. The hotel is central to lots of resturants and a short walk to main area of chaweng beach. Th shower was luke warm but that was ok for me.

Great location in Chaweng just a short walk from the beach and Central Mall. The staff were nice and the room was quite large and modern. The big problem here was the air conditioning which repeatedly failed throughout our stay. It went off 3 nights out of 6 we stayed. We were offered an alternative room for the last night but didn't want any more disturbed nights so checked out.

Staff were great. Easy check in. Great location but room away from noisy street. Able to stay in same room when wanted to extend stay. Good breakfasts, happy hour cocktails and next day very cheap laundry next door.

Great value and great location, across the road from the beach. Nice big rooms with super strong aircon - a little too powerful for me! But really, if that’s the only complaint you’re doing pretty well!

This hotel started off being awesome, the air con, staff welcome and cleanliness was superb and it was situated in perfect walking distance of everything you’d need BUT on the second day not only had the safe decided to lock itself shut (which isn’t really the hotel’s fault in a bad way) but my Mrs has some of her ‘wash out’ hair dye leak onto the pillow case and duvet cover which they insisted on charging us the equivalent of 24 quid for (that’s after an apparent deal to soften the blow from 30 quid) WiFi was available but pretty weak. Other than that I’d still stay here again as it was very comfortable but I wouldn’t buy their food as it was overpriced and so was the laundry charge scam, the toilet roll was thin and my finger almost went through so double up if you stay here

This has to be one of the best value hotels in Koh Samui. Yes there is no pool but the staff are terrific and so friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Decent hotel with a nice enough location. Quick walk to the beach, shopping and many food options. Only complaint is that the walls were paper thin and it was very loud. The door separating the room from the hallway is very thin and you could hear everything. Woke up a few times from noise.

A quaint and lovely place to stay in. It's a 7min walk to the the night life where the popular bars and pubs are so it is a good distance away from the noise. Really convenient with local massages and convenient stores all around. If you are looking to get some shopping done, the outlets are right across the street! The staff were all warm and friendly, and they always checked if everything was alright for me. Special mention to Tor, who was attentive and friendly. Another lady whose name I didn't manage to get ( she had long braids) was very welcoming as well. They definitely made my stay more enjoyable. Thank you City Dance team :)

Good location and friendly staff. Only issue was that the bathroom wall had a weird wooden window that opens up to the pipes. This area carries sound from areas far away. I was staying on the top floor and can hear people screaming in thai from a resturant on the first floor.

Rooms over priced. Compare to other hotels.
The staff are friendly, the rooms do not feel clean with cockroach found climbing bed. The air conditioning not efficent and did not feel cold, outside lighting lit room when trying to sleep.

Hotel that looks like a resort!
The hotel was excellent. The room is spacious & very comfortable. We stay in the Lower ground room which is quite more expensive than the other normal room, but it is worth the money. The housekeeping even arranged flowers deco on the bed for my Birthday. Front of the hotel there is a lots of shop & 7eleven. You can just walk straight 2mins you can see the beach. Near to everything, you name it, motorcycle rent,shops,beach,7eleven. Perfect spot for staying.

Amazing hotel. Wonderful staff at our service- they don’t provide beach towels but they allowed us to take the shower towels and return them after the beach. Very centrally located. Lots of bars and beach clubs less than 5 min away with live bands and fire shows. They upgraded us to a deluxe room so we were a bit far from the noisy street. I totally recommend this hotel. However don’t eat there. The food on the street is really good and much cheaper (even the restaurant are cheaper than the hotels restaurant )

Nice Hotel for the Money
I enjoyed my stay at the City Dance Hotel. The staff and location were excellent, The beach is literally a 2 minute walk, straight out of the hotel, down a very nice walkway and you're there. Also there's a beach club and pool at the end of the walkway for $9 USD per day. Arun provided me with excellent service and I enjoyed my interactions with her. The hotel decor is nice and modern, Just the basic necessities. The noise is about what you'd expect from a hotel in a resort town. The City Dance Hotel is a good value for the money.

Best stay at reasonable price in Chaweng area!
Loved this hotel and would go back every time I visit Samui! Clean, comfortable large rooms, with modern tv, good wifi, and large bathrooms! Bed was comfortable and whole hotel was sparkling clean! All staff were more than helpful, informative, friendly and knowledgable about the area! If you want a pleasant stay in a clean excellent hotel in a great location, at a very good price - YOU MUST STAY HERE!

Great staff
We were very happy with our clean room however had an issue with a foul smell coming from the air con. When we went downstairs in the evening to tell staff, the lady on duty immediately picked up her standing fan and carried it back to our room promising to have house keeping look at the air con the following morning. Needless to say housekeeping fixed the problem the following morning. For this reason, we would not allow the problem with the air con to affect our rating of the hotel. The staff are great and whenever they see you, they greet you - all of them.

Upgrade The WIFI
Great Budget Hotel ... good Location, large rooms, clean, recently renovated and smiley staff. Wifi works well for rooms near lobby, elsewhere it's intermittent and frustratingly unreliable. Upgrade the WIFI! Stayed 9 nights, staff in denial mode and kept saying engineer checked and everything ok. Alternate days blame the weather for interference. Enough of excuses. Just upgrade the WIFI.

Great Stay!
Awesome stay at city dance hotel. The staff were so nice and cheerful, the rooms where modern and very clean! Very queit hotel, I didn't see other people until I was checking out! Location is good, across the street from the beach and lots of shops and restaurants near by. The bars of Chewang beach are a bit farther down if that is what your looking for. I would stay again!

Nice hotel in a great location
We spent a Saturday night in this hotel. It is close to the best nightlife places in Koh Samui. The staff at Check-in was great and helpful. He speaks English very well and helped us find the best places to spend our night, book trips and exchange money. The rooms were clean and well equipped. An elevator would be addition for this nice hotel.

Something went on with the safe in the room.The cleaners and myself tried to open it and eventually did with a master key. Then the safe worked fine,very strange.I had to take my money and passport and travel to leave it with friends. My hand made leather sandals disappeared from the room.
