The Black Dog. Houseboat In DT Knox
Stay at this one of a kind houseboat located at Volunteer Marina! It is very close to downtown Knoxville, Knoxville greenway, and UTK`s campus. E-Bikes are available for an additional fee to help you get around. Enjoy the peaceful Tennessee river and quiet peaceful outdoor spaces. The houseboat sleeps 4 comfortably and has a sitting area and small kitchenette. Book your stay today on the Black Dog. You will not be disappointed.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are between 9pm - 8am EVERYDAY. If there are noise complaints or any violation of this rule, it may result in cancellation of booking and removal from property without refund and a penalty of $200 for the violation.
Be courteous to other dock residents. If you are too loud or rowdy, you will be asked to leave.
STRICT NO-PARTY POLICY
No parties or events/gatherings. If there is a party of any kind the police will be called and everyone will be removed from the property no refunds. No Unauthorized Guests are allowed at the unit, $100 fine per guest if discovered.
No Smoking
Smoking is prohibited without exception on this property. If any signs of smoking are found in the house, a fine of $300 will be imposed, no exceptions.
Pets
Pets ARE allowed depending on size or if they are service animals, max of 2 pets. We have pet fee. If you are bringing a pet(s), please let us know beforehand, otherwise there will be a fine of $100/pet if discovered, no exceptions.
Other things to Note;
- The boat does not leave the dock.
- No swimming around the boat or dock due to electrical shock hazard.

Totally understand it’s a house boat, but the spiders and cob webs were pretty bad. I feel sorry for anyone over 6 feet tall trying to use the restroom and dirty shower. There was also layers of dust on the fans in each room that was flaring up my daughter’s allergies. We ended up driving back home 4 hours away at midnight because of those issues.
