"They didn't tell me they had somebody living on site until I was on my way there, between midnight and 2:30 a.m., because I told them I would be late, getting there.There was somebody else there when I got there in the room that I was supposed to be in, plus the person that lives on site.The key was where it was supposed to be, but the outside door was locked, and I rang the doorbell several times, and contacted the host, by calling and sending messages, and I still had to wait about 20 minutes...

This is a a nature-lover’s delight as you can marvel at waterfront sunrise/sunsets, bird watch, fish, and cruise around on your kayaks (and that’s just at the property — Kitty Hawk beach is an easy 30 ride away). The renovations throughout and ample room sizes makes this an excellent choice for families. My husband and I plan to buy a set of those Turkish Cotton towels! They were an added bonus after a nice shower!! Highly recommended!! We would visit again."

"Overall the rental was great. There were some things about it which caused some minor inconveniences but after communicating with the host, these issues were resolved. The overall cleanliness needs help. Under beds and on top of surfaces need dusted. We stayed here in 2024 and at that time it seemed to be in overall better shape than this trip. Still an excellent vacation and the location of this listing can’t be beat."

"Other than a couple of minor housekeeping issues this property was outstanding. We were a group of ten adults and eight kids aged 2-13 and there was plenty of room for everyone. Massive, VERY well equipped kitchen made meal time a bit less stressful. Indoor pool was a huge plus as was the oceanfront location. All in all, everyone had an excellent week. Thank you!"
