"I really enjoyed my stay in the Blackstairs Shepard hut. The facilities in the main building were excellent and the hut was cosy and comfy with everything you'd need for a good night's sleep. Mary was full of helpful tips and suggestions for things to do in the area. The property was beautiful and the area was quiet and relaxing. Such an exclusive place to stay too as only 4 huts on the site. The location is great for exploring the local area and a couple of counties!"

"We spent our first two nights in Ireland at Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel after our arrival in Dublin. It was an easy drive from the airport. There is free/validated parking across the street. The hotel was centrally located to everything Kilkenny, and the surrounding area, has to offer. The hotel itself was very clean, updated, and comfortable. The breakfast offering offered everything you could want and was delicious. We ate dinner in the restaurant and found the menu selection to be varied and the food to be very good. The entire staff were welcoming, helpful, cheerful, and very willing to offer help which made our stay wonderful. "

"Possibly one of the most stunning hotels we have stayed in. The Lyrath grounds are gorgeous and only surpassed by the stunning interior courtyard reception area that greets you when you first arrive. Everything from the multiple restaurants to the bar and lounge areas, this place just wraps you in comfort. Keeping with the decor of the lobby, our hotel room was more like a full suite with separate rooms for changing, bathing and sleeping. Heated bathroom floors, a 4 piece ensuite bathroom and even a private toilet room made this all feel first class. We only stayed one night so didn’t have time for spa or a hike around the property but we would make time for these amenities absolutely on a future return. If you get the chance, do stay here and experience luxury. One general comment about not only this hotel but really all the areas we visited in Ireland is that we found the Irish to be wonderful people, kind and attentive, and truly hospitable in all respects. The people here have left a very positive lasting impression on our whole family. "
