"A beautiful, older resort in the low season which could use some refurbishing and additional wait-staff. It's quiet, out of the way and was once gorgeous. Now it needs a coat of varnish. The hot water in the shower works very well, if you can figure out how to manipulate the faucet. The main restaurant needs more servers, so things like silverware aren't forgotten when the food is brought out.The bottom line: it's quiet, and like stepping into a few hundred years ago. Gorgeous pool for those less intrepid. Breakfast is made to order, lunch ～ dinner restaurant until 9:30pm. Decent little enclave just above hotel. Motorbike for the daring as dark and hilly roads to the main tourist areas or a TH150 PP ride each way. Very enjoyable R/R over Song Klang. "

"Had a great stay here for a week in one of the deluxe bungalows, lovely beach, resort itself could do with a spruce up but it didn’t affect our stay. Bungalow was excellent. Breakfast was decent with lots of choice. Could do with a few more chairs and loungers around the pool and beachfront. Would stay again."

"Vi havde et fantastisk ophold hos Ban Mae Resort. Vores bungalow var stor med både soveværelse, bagagerum, badeværelse og terrasse. Stedet ligger langt fra touristresorterne på øens vestside, men servicen var i top! Der er fantastisk natur, dyreliv og en lille kiosk ved vejen. Vi kunne leje kanoer og padle til fine sandstrande, vi stort set havde for os selv. Maden var god. This is a beautiful resort in the middle of nowhere, which was just the getaway we were looking for.
