In the summer the trout come from all over the 94,000 acre lake into the bay in front of the cabin. These wild trout are a strain of steelhead landlocked in the lake 80 years ago. They average 2-3 pounds and fish over 8 pounds are not uncommon. This is a favorite spot for fly fishermen. There are miles of canoe and kayaking trails throughout the marsh. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee and watch the fish jumping in the lake!

This was a wonderful 2-bedrom cabin with all the amenities (kitchen, TV, great beds, nice bathroom). The view of the lake was outstanding with lots of nice outdoor seating. There was even a can of insect repellant which we used since we forgot ours. The kitchen was even stocked with coffee and condiments and PopTarts. The cabin was an easy drive from Klamath Falls and within nice reach of Crater Lake. Loved it!
The propert was great. The view was beautiful but no one told us about the blue algae. We are water people, love to swim but we had to travel somewhere else for that.
We came to Klamuth Falls to watch our son play soccer for OIT. We stayed in Cabin 1, and it was the perfect getaway. While it isn't in Klamuth Falls, it is an easy and beautiful 25 minute drive to town. We loved the cozy nostalgia. The area was quiet and peaceful. For October, the weather was gorgeous, and we enjoyed walking around the lake and down the highway. There was a firepalce/heat stove inside and gas bbq grills, a firepit, and yard games outside we could use. Management was friendly and easy to communicate with. The cabin was very clean, perhaps due for a dusting, but very fresh and clean. We are so glad we stayed here instead of a hotel room! We will definitely be back!
The cabin is in a beautiful location with a million dollar view IF they would trim the bushes that have grown over the window. Oh how tempted I was to get some pruners! It rained off and on all for 3 of the 4 days we were there so we spent alot of time indoors. It's a shame that we couldn't enjoy the view of the lake.
I'm not 100% sure that the cabin had been cleaned before we arrived. The bathroom was skipped for sure. Whiskers in the sink and used dental floss on the trash basket. I did a quick clean myself so that we could be comfortable but for the price we paid this shouldn't have been necessary.
Overall the cabin is a nice option if you aren't looking for fancy. It's simple and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the lake and surrounding nature.
I'd be so happy to see the owners put in a little effort to spruce it up a bit and for the love of all that is holy, TRIM THOSE BUSHES!!! You've got a million dollar view there if you'd just do that one thing.
Rustic and cozy. Very quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed using wood stove and walking down to the lake to watch the ducks. It was so dark that we could see the milky way! Perfect for our two day visit to Crater Lake.
Everything was wonderful and cozy. The location is an amazingly quiet and relaxing community. We paddle boarded right off the dock and enjoyed pelicans, fish and birds. Paddled down to Harrimans (take a hard right from the dock) for lunch and loved sitting outside watching the beautiful lake and sunsets from the porch. The kitchen was well outfitted, the furniture, bedding and towels high quality. Would definitely stay again!
Small cabin in a great location. Cabin was clean and comfortable (cold nights required using the wood stove which worked just fine). Location is very nice with lake view and nearby activities. I would certainly stay here again.
Loved the homey feel of this cabin. Had all the amenities I needed plus a wonderful wood stove fireplace for the cold nights. Million dollar views of the sunrise every morning.
The cabin had everything we needed. The host and hostess were delightful people and generously took us out on their boat. We were thrilled to see a bald eagle and a sandhill crane in addition to lots of beautiful scenery
This is a tiny cabin right on a beautiful lake that is amazingly serene and tranquil . We read the reviews about remoteness and they are right but that is manageable with planning and part of the appeal.
