Check-in took quite a while, but reaching the room was another experience in itself. It felt like an endless walk through strange-smelling corridors, multiple lifts and steps. The layout is definitely not suitable for guests with a lot of luggage, older people, or anyone with mobility issues. The hotel had a real The Shining vibe. The lifts were old and shook so much every time we used them that it felt like something might go wrong. The room itself was disappointing. The bedding was poor quality. When I untucked one side of the duvet, the duvet cover was completely open and the duvet was directly exposed which felt unhygienic. The TV was dated and we had to input date and time every time we came to the room as it reset. Given the 4 star hotel had a spa in the building I would have expected bathrobes and slippers, but these were not provided. There were also no bathroom amenities. Small extras you often expect in a 4-star hotel, such as complimentary toiletries, cotton pads, earbuds/cotton buds, or a sewing kit, were missing. The minibar fridge was already packed full of overpriced items, leaving no space for our own food or drinks, and it also had an unpleasant smell. The biggest shock was arriving to find the hotel located between two strip clubs, one of which shares an entrance with the hotel. This created a very poor first impression, and I would not recommend this hotel for families, couples, or anyone who would not be comfortable with that type of environment.

There are 3 parts in this hotel. We were in old building. There were strange smell in room - propably from carpet. Swimming pool & spa was outdated.

Optimal location, ok hotel

The location of the hotel made it easy for me to view the Sea Festival parade and to access the festivities. Parking was inexpensive and on-site, and staff was friendly. The fitness club was closed early on Saturday, so I couldn't use the pool or get a work-out, which is a shame because it looked like an excellent facility. The massage was very good and not costly, and again very convenient. The Sky Bar is a pleasure for the view and not expensive, even if the 1664 beer is not the genuine article. The room was not cleaned during my two-day stay. The elevators are old, creaky and small.

Nothing was really wrong, but travelling for business most of the time I felt that the hotel could have been better. Minor issues with marks on pillow cases which I just didn’t use, breakfast was chaotic! Don’t know if it was due to the number of guests but instead of doing less options with better quality, the breakfast had many options which were lower quality. Fresh Items were dried out, warm items were cold or empty. Staff did there best looking after a the many options but couldn’t keep up.

Hissen var lite obehagligt ryckig. AC i rummet fungerade inte så vi hade väldigt varmt. Långt till frukosten. Stor matsal med högt ljud. God och fräsch frukost och mycket trevlig personal. Spa:et var två bubbelstrålar och inte så rent vatten.
