OBXLanai - 5 houses from Private Duck Beach + Private Pool at House!

Uniquely set in the Town of Duck w/ pool, hot tub & great views! Walking distance to beach (0.3 mi), great restaurants, shopping (0.4 mi). LOTS of new updates both inside & out, tons of decking space to relax & enjoy the salt air! Upper level vaulted ceilings throughout living/dining/kitchen & bedroom w/ full bath. Middle level includes the remaining 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, & washer/dryer! Bottom level includes an outdoor shower & 1/2 bath! Free gym access !
The space
The layout of the home provides a nice open upper level to gather while the second level is a great spot to retreat for privacy and rest in your bedrooms. New paint and flooring throughout main area! Pool, multi-level outdoor porches (water views from some and others are screened-in), Hibatchi grill, horseshoe pits, outdoor shower, and basketball hoop provide enjoyment for all to enjoy the wonderful North Carolina weather!

As for the electronics - there is a DVD player in the living room with a 55 inch Smart TV. All but 1 bedroom have Smart TVs connected to Dish Network!

Guests will have full access to the entire home including lots of fun kitchen appliances (Vitamixer, popcorn maker, juicer, salad spinner, crockpot, mini food processor, steamer pots, stock pot, Mr. Coffee pot, Kerig, coffee bean grinder) AND lots of Beach accessories: cart, chairs, umbrellas, cooler with wheels, body boards, beach games, etc!!

Also for your convenience: baby gates, high chair, and pack & play!

This house is a member of Westside Athletic Club (Gym/Tennis/Pool) and therefore as our guest so are You! Free access and member pricing on all programming!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Leave in a pile in hamper or bathroom. Start a load of towels if you would like - not a request! Leave beds alone - do not strip!
Remove all trash from house (kitchen, bathroom, etc) place in dumpster outside of house. Make sure all dishes are clean, dry and put away. 
Turn all lights off. Set AC to 74 in summer and Heat to 68 in the winter at departure. Lock all doors & windows at your departure. If a key was used please put it back in lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

What's nearby

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect Location for OBX getaway

OBX Lanai is the absolutely most perfect location for a Duck, NC vacation. Easy access to the beach and town. The house is beautiful and clean. Lots of amenities and great communication with the owner. Would highly recommend.

Perfect house in Duck

Perfect house! Super location to beach and the shops, beautifully decorated and fully stocked with chairs and bikes, we plan to rent this home again!

Perfect location in Duck

We had a wonderful stay! The house is 3 blocks from the private beach access and there is even a lifeguard posted as soon as you walk down to beach. Perfect for families. The beach is beautiful and not too crowded. It is also easy walking/biking distance to Duck shops and restaurants. The younger teens LOVED that they got to ride up on their own to get ice cream and donuts. House was very nice, kitchen was very well equipped for a rental house and there were plenty of beach toys/supplies available. Would definitely stay again. Whole family had a wonderful time.
