"They told us on route to the airport the house was not available and we could stay elsewhere.We tried to cancel but VRBO dragged their feet and after 2 nights in hotel rooms we took up the offer rather than lose all our money. The alternate place was nice but no view or place to sit in the sun without paying 50 US dollars a day for a club 10 minute walk from house. Disappointed with the experience with VRBO to say the least."

"The room was clean and well maintained during our stay. The property is a bit old and dated but comfortable enough. There are two pools and both have unusual layouts where you are not really able to sit by the pool to socialize or to watch your children if you have children with you. Only one of the pools have chairs at all and they are located on a "sun deck" on one side of the pool that is not visible from the part of the pool where you swim. I know this isn't fixable but it's a strange layout that I thought others should be aware of. The restaurant on the beach by The Hamilton (The Yacht Club) is not affiliated with The Hamilton but is quite good and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highly recommend the pizza! "

"Tried to book a waxing at the spa but there were no available staff until later in the day. Our ocean view room was nice however the screen on the sliding door was broken so could not leave it open at night in lieu of AC. The AC was very loud and noisy. The beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean so it was rough and so much seaweed. We opted to take cabs to the Carribean side to swim. "

Accommodation is comfortable however the infrastructure is a bit dated and when there is sargassum on the beach, the smell is overwhelming. "Was advised that I would be met at airport and no one there until I called again and waited an extra 30 minutes. Unreliable! On arrival at the hotel, our room was not ready, when check in was expected by 3 pm. We did not get a room until 4:30 and at that point put us in a room in a lower level with lesser views. Room had hair in bathroom, master bed and patio. Nothing in room for anything exceedingly t towels and sheets. Could not leave fast enough. Best part was being introduced to a driver that was even surprised we had stayed here. This is off the beaten path and nothing within walking distance. Pictures were deceiving of what this place is and the condition. Front desk staff was less than helpful in communicating and anytime someone new came in they had to focus their attention there as there was only one person capable of checking in. Curio stands for curious why anyone would enjoy this place. Recommendation Look Elsewhere"
