I loved this cottage, I loved the cozy fire place in the living room. The kitchen was spotless with a big kitchen table in the middle, the only thing I would suggest is to have the fridge as a fridge/freezer. I missed having a freezer for ice and ice-creams. The bedrooms where quiet and dark, however a mattress topper would make the mattress cozy and comfortable. Parking is not right outside the property, it's in a safe location which is detailed when you confirm your booking. However, you do have to carry all your belongings across the road and down the lane to the cottage.
Lovely property, very well equipped and central location within walking distance of bars, restaurants and local shops. Nice wee town. Cottage is pet friendly but no outside space for dog. Plenty of walks around but pavements and roads very narrow at bits so tight leash required. Kirk and cemetery directly at back of property. The Kirk bells ring every 15 mins which is nice during the day but as a light sleeper wasn’t ideal for me at night. I would return but would take earplugs. Others in my party didn’t find it an issue but it would have been handy for me to know beforehand. Parking/lockbox not at property and directions weren’t very clear for this but it is only a 2 min walk and easy once you find it initially.
