"Given the age of the property I’d say it’s fairly clean and tidy. Breakfast choices were okay, could do with more selection. The dining menu was not too bad, though was slightly disappointed with the duck dish I had for dinner service. The spa was nice, again it could do with a freshen up look as most items felt well used. Otherwise it’s been a pleasant stay."

"Superb hotel in wonderful location handy for local amenities. Did not use spa facilities which looked good. Somewhat confusing concept - hotel had lovely frontage with outdoor seating area but bars etc were closed so not able enjoy snacks, drinks etc at the front. Maybe the available facilities at the front were opened for weddings only. Although a large significant hotel the only facilities available were a small bar/restaurant a good trek away at the rear in the golf area. Outdoor seating with no views surrounded by golf buggy/trolley parking. Food was not impressive. Overall impression was that unless golfers or event guests residents were a nuisance and although claiming to be dog friendly were merely accepting of dogs with uncomfortable coffee table type areas only available for dining. Staff were polite but rarely friendly and rooms were not made up daily. Enjoy your wedding or golf here certainly but otherwise a normal passing business trade venue at its best."

"Plenty of disabled parking but both pavements leading to the entrance were inaccessible due to a litter bin on one side and a damaged/leaning parking post on the other. The bed was far too low and far too soft. Air con didn't work but when I reported it they obviously couldn't fix it so left a fan in our room, which was appreciated. Pub Grill menu overpriced and poor quality, service poor as we had to remind them about our drinks order when they brought the food. Breakfast was very sparse, no signs offering eggs cooked to order, pastries very dry and definitely not worth the money. Wouldn't recommend."
