Outstanding establishment, great location and supper smart.
Hosts excellent and clearly care about their guests experience.
Lovely lounge with tables and fridge/microwave, plates etc if you want to eat in ( range of take away nearby).
Super dining room for the excellent breakfast.
We will be back!
Elizabeth sent me an email before I was checking in making sure i was aware that there would be no one present on site. Keys were left exactly where she said they would be and instructions for breakfast and everything else were easy to understand and locate. The Crossing is suitably located right next to the Kingussie railroad station and is close to the Barracks - one of the sites to see while we were there. Would highly recommend this place.
The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast (additional charge) was delicious.
Only negative is the heater was not working and it was very cold.
Can not say enough about the Crossing, it was an amazing stay. The staff go way above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The 5 nights we were there were some of the best ever. The convenience to the train station is a major plus, just walk a few yards and go anywhere. 10 stars from us. Thank you to Sam and everyone there.
We enjoyed our stay at The Crossing. The breakfast was very good. The one thing I was surprised about was that our breakfast was not included with our room fee. We stayed at so many different places that I guess I just didn't check to see. But, we were a bit taken aback when after eating breakfast we were asked to settle the bill for it.
My friend and I stayed at The Crossing for a girls weekends of hiking and walks in the Cairngorms. The Crossing was a great choice. Our room with two single beds was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The beds and pillows were very much to our liking. The bathroom was great as well - lovely Highlands soap, lotion, shower gel, and shampoo/conditioner, plus the water pressure and temperature were fantastic after a day of hiking. We loved the extra touches of a kettle and Tassimo machine in the room along with tea bags and coffee pods. The welcome cookies were delicious - our sweet tooth wanted them every day of our stay! Would stay here again!
Hard to rate when there is no human contact. However we found remote check in easy and the room was clean. It may be worth asking guests with large transit vans with trailers of canoes to park elsewhere as we couldn’t use the hotel xar park
Liked the self check in (but means we never saw any staff). Loved the little cookies in our room upon arrival. Our suite was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was big. We had nice views over the square and train. Walked to get dinner. Wish the room had a mini fridge but there was one for use in the common lounge. I had thought the place had a kitchen for guests use but that was my mistake. Overall nice spot. Clean.
Amazing place to stay. Check in and check out we’re contactless, but the staff was easy to get ahold of and very responsive to texts. We would definitely stay here again. The town was lovely and everything was within walking distance of The Crossing.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable along with the pillows. I loved the fresh cookies. Check-in was simple and checkout was fast. Would highly recommend.

Cute B&B. Tiny room with no storage space with 3 of us in there and a super weird/dark bathroom. Nice breakfast for additional charge. Cute town to walk around.
