Staff pleasant, rooms clean, but the entire motel is in desperate need of updating. Breakfast gets 1 star as coffee *is* available but not much else.

It is a tear down. I would have to say however, the beds we’re comfortable. But the type of place that is a desparate one night only. It is close to the truway

THere is a terrible odor - we bought fabreeze and lysol to be able to hang there. We had a fire alarm at midnight the first night - didnt seem to be anything but an annoyance.

Courteous staff, however the coffee machine had dust accumulated in the water chamber. The TV was not functional. The room had onky 2 lights and that too only table lamps. In short no sufficient lighting. Hope to get a good complimentary breakfast tomorrow morning.

The front staff was terrible and had no idea what they were doing. They kept calling people on the phone for help and no one was answering. The room was clean but they had left the window open so the room was freezing (its winter)and there is no heat. We could not stay there because it was too cold and the blanket was too thin, we were shivering.

There was a water leak in our room and mildew as well as mold in the carpet in front of the bathroom. It reeked a terrible smell and was definitely unsafe to breathe, let alone be able to stay in. We got wet every time we had to use the restroom.

We had to book this hotel cause most hotels around were super booked. Nothing fancy, just a decent room with decent facilities. During book and at check-in we were told that there would be a continental breakfast provided from 6 am to 9 am, the next morning we went to the room and it was just a grab and go breakfast (included packaged apple and orange juice, packaged oatmeal, packaged muffin, fruit and protein bar). Honestly this was particularly disappointing cause we booked the room for the breakfast instead of going around. When we asked the receptionist about it, he said “oh that’s a mistake, it’s just a grab and go. We normally do continental breakfast until there end of october, but for the winter it’s just a grab and go”. I believe this needs to be rectified on Expedia or other booking websites, it’s very misleading.

The room itself was OK although the bathroom was noisy with the fan grinding like a jackhammer. No hot water in the shower and a miserable breakfast makes this one a place to avoid in my view.

Will never stay here again!
Front desk was very helpful, but the rooms were very dated. The sink in the room was clogged and the toilet took forever to flush. The room above us sounded like they were moving furniture and the floors sqeaked with every footstep. The room next door had kids and it was so loud, paper thin walls.

Nothing super about Hotel 8
Were told a year ago when making the reservation that they were remodeling n price would go up, fine. However conditions were worse this year than before for higher cost (NO sign of any remodeling, updating or even new coat of paint!)!! Noisy squealing bathroom fan, very dirty carpets, peeling ceilings, thin worn sheets, lousy breakfast, etc. Positive - staff was very nice, friendly n tried to accommodate to the best of their abilities n situations of the place. Last time ever regardless of cost!

While i cant complain to much about this motel for the price. I will say that some of the furniture was dated and damaged. And miss matched. The bathroom was clean and so was the main room. One recommendation i would have for the bathroom is put a waste basket in there for those who may not want to walk out of the restroom to throw out their sanitary napkins. With that said I will say that the staff was kind and nice to talk too.

Bad hotel
This hotel needs major updating. It is just one step above being complete dump. It smelled really bad with filthy carpet in the halls and sticky fake wood floors in the room. Unless they renovate soon, this will be my last time staying there. The worse part they had the nerve to charges 158 a night plus tax.
