Historical high wooden house at the Mondschein-Wiese

The 300 year old historic landmark 5 bed/2 bath/2 kitchen farm house is situated on 12 acres of farmland, perfect as family vacation rental and for events. Curated with high and low cultural artifacts - Louis the XIV /Mid Century/ Contemporary and Outsider Art/Newport, RI meets Manhattan in the 50's and 60's. This beautifully restored gem of a farmhouse set on 12 acres of private land with ponds, streams, seasonal waterfalls and meadow. You are welcome to wander though the fields and property, fish, and forage... There is an outdoor fireplace, take some wood from the wood pile and/or the forest and roast marshmallows under the stars. Pick flowers from the meadow, enjoy the 2 newly renovated modern kitchens, with a state of the art professional stoves! Indulge in the brand new bathrooms take a bath while you look out at the wildlife grazing in the meadow. The living rooms (there are 2) are complete with original beamed ceilings, radiant heat and there are doors that all lead outside. Walk through the farmhouse, and chillout on the Henry Miller recliner and watch a film. Upstairs are five bedrooms (two queen-sized beds, one with two singles, and two with double beds). The furnishings reflect a stylish flair for comfort with a fun and eclectic mix of modern, rustic and vintage collectibles. The property is a great base for any activity in the area. For dining and entertainment, Woodstock Village is just four miles away. Enjoy the Woodstock Film Festival, Maverick Chamber Music concerts, Bearsville Theater, Levon Helm's Midnight Rambles, the Farmers` Market, the "Big Deep" water hole, Dharma teachings and practice retreats in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism at the KTD Monastery. For skiing, Hunter Mountain, Belleayre, Windham Mountain and Plattekill are all within a 20-30 minute drive. 
During the summer months (Memorial Day to Labor Day) and holidays, we ask for a 3 day minimum stay. The house is just for immediate guests only, NO PARTIES PLEASE...
