"It was a great hotel and everything about it was really wonderful. It's proximity to the beach, the swimming pool, the room, etc. However, there were 2 issues that were frustrating during our time there. We arrived at 4:05pm for a 4pm check in. Stood in line to check in and was told our room was clean, but pending an inspection and it would be just a few minutes. My 5 children and I sat in the lobby and waited. I checked in every 15 minutes and kept being told it would be just a few minutes. In the end, we waited an hour and a half for our room to be ready and even then it wasn't - they ended up assigning us a different room. There was also an issue where they ran out of towels for the pool. We were told the same thing that they'd be ready in a few minutes. After 40 minutes I went and checked again and still no towels, but was told the same thing that it would be just a few minutes. I think the take away for me is that their cleaning team must be wildly understaffed. We were only there for 1 day and paid nearly $500 for the night, for a 3 bedroom room. It was hard to wait around for things given this. They also make you check out at 10am. Most hotels are 11. I asked for some compensation for the wait and received a $75 credit towards breakfast in the morning. I did appreciate that. Great hotel, wonderful amenities, understaffed."
