"We stayed at Broadhay Cottage for 2 weeks on our holday from New Zealand. It was our home from home. Spotlessly clean and organised. We had everything we needed. "Contemporary rooms, simple but clean all modern amenities. Staff friendly. This hotel offers a three course meal £25 per person which sounded good as we had the theatre booked and my mother has poor mobility so it made sense to take the offer but the meal has to be paid up front when checking in and you are not informed what this meal is. We booked the meal at 5pm there was confusion in the bar area as the reservation was for 2 people but it was down for 5 people. There were only 3 tables occupied in the whole restaurant including ours. We were informed the 3 course menu deal was the chefs choice. Which we queried as we may not like the choice and wern’t actually given a choice. The soup to start was cauliflower which was obviously left overs puréed in Luke warm water and resembled mush which seperated from the water and tasted off. We did not eat this, we had a choice of burger or sandwich from a paper lunch menu, followed by a desert. The Angus beef burger was burnt & the chicken burger was a piece of chicken breast covered in a sauce ill fitting between a burger bun. The ice cream and chocolate torte was palatable. Noted is that other diners complained or left food and the dining room floor and restaurant toilet's needed cleaning . This was most disappointing as the hotel itself is nice and staff aimiable. Breakfast was better more staff on in uniform and attentive. On the whole we would stay again but would not have an evening meal in the restaurant."

"Clean room, no separate shower room all in same room. No drink facilities in room but can be purchased from reception at a cost. Parking chargeable, plenty to do near by and in walking distances with plenty of nice food restaurant choices, bowling alley, cinema, mini golf, monkey business kids play area."

"The property was a sort of student residence on the University of Sheffield Campus , in a very beautiful setting . I stayed during an unprecedented heat wave , there were no air conditioning or fans available. There were limited soft drinks , coffee and croissants available . Halfway through my stay I became aware that one of the neighbouring buildings was infact a hotel with full catering service of a very high standard where accepted non residents for meals . The staff in Jonas were very friendly and could not have been more friendly ."

"Good air con. Plenty of parking extra at rear. Clean room. Lots of light switches but only 1 worked. No shelf in shower to stand anything on. Taps in sink not enough height to get kettle access. Corridor lit very dim a bit creepy for ladies on their own. Price of drinks in bar were extortionate. Lots of cameras in bar ceiling I counted 9 at least. No intention of taking our own drink but felt like Stalag 13 with cameras watching everyone. The wedding was excellent but not a place I would visit again to regimental."
