The room was clean and in a good location, but it had a strong cigarette smoke smell.
Overall, our experience was very frustrating. There was no on-site staff, no map, and no clear directions, which made it extremely difficult to find both our room and boat slip. We spent hours driving and walking around during a thunderstorm trying to locate everything, and check-in took nearly four hours.
We were also not informed in advance that the boat ramp was closed, & the slip was meant for small fishing boats. Our boat was sticking out and not covered for the weekend, which was a major issue since bringing our boat was the main reason for our stay.
The boat slips were old and poorly maintained, and the walkway to them was washed out and unsafe. There were newer slips available, but we were not offered an upgrade even after staff were made aware of the situation.
While the room itself was acceptable, the lack of communication, organization, and on-site assistance made the stay very disappointing.
