"This house is beautiful and immaculate and the owner had thought of everything for all ages from high chairs and travel cots to a shower seat in the walk-in shower. The location was ideal to so many places. The owner is lovely and was quick to resolve any issues. Unfortunately the house itself seems to be the only part of the property that has been renovated and what will be a lovely fairy garden, replete with waterfalls, was marred by construction rubbish. "What a gem of a hotel. Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Especially for my dietary requirements. The hotel has the wow factor when you walk in. The view from our room over looking the river Slaney was spectacular."

"This was such a welcome change from the hotels we’d been in nights before. Mary was an absolutely wonderful hostess. We picked up wine, cheese and bread before arriving and sat in the courtyard of the barn. Piper, the family cat, stayed close and enjoyed the ear scratches. We sat in the loft of the barn in the evening and enjoyed the cosy comfort and the wifi. We walked the trail around the property. A little forest bath before bed. The hut was comfortable….perfect really. Breakfast in the common area was perfect for us as well…homemade sourdough bread, farm fresh boiled eggs, lovely selection of healthy cereals, preserves, French press coffee and fresh fruit. Washrooms…..so well done. Large and well-equipped. This is really a unique and special place and you get to stay there for a very reasonable price."

"Great little locally owned place. The food was good. The pub was great. Friendly locals gathered as well as fellow travelers. Had a great time and really enjoyed staying at the hotel so much, we decided to stay another night. The staff was also very accommodating where they could be, although we did have a few issues. We had some trouble with no heat in our room the first night. The staff was quick to respond to turn it on that evening; however, it didn't get/stay on, so it never warmed up, and was very cold. Due to the limited staff availability, (not available 24 hours,) we we unable to get heat until the next day. They did attend to it to ensure it worked the next day though. The other issue was not having a way to make outbound local calls. As we were traveling internationally, our phones couldn't be used for calls (due to phone plan,) and we found ourselves scrambling with other guests to order food delivery one night, since we missed the 8pm food cut off. We were able to find someone else also looking to order food, but it was unnecessarily complicated and stressful. I understand, though. They are a small, local place and need to keep costs down where they can. Overall, we had a wonderful time, the staff was accommodating, and we would definitely stay there again if/when we make it back to Curracloe!"

"Check in was about 20 seconds, our room was ready at 3pm. Disappointed with the balcony, we couldn't open the door due to what looks like an extention. Pillows were awful, too big and puffy. Swimming pool and leisure areas was nice and well maintained. Our time in the pool was short lived with 15 screaming young girls taking over the place. Food in the bar was really good. Portions were huge. Lovely, helpful staff. Breakfast was table service. The pancake machine could really do with been moved for people that don't want them. It is right beside the cereals, toast and juices and its was a battle to get at them!"
