Welcome to Poseidon's Getaway - A retreat that's perfect for six gods and goddesses. Our beach house is centrally located in the heart of the Outer Banks, offering easy access to the beach and sound. Less than one mile away, you can sink your toes into the sand and soak up the sun, while enjoying the sound of the waves. Just a quarter-mile away, you can immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the sound and enjoy the stunning sunsets.

The two-story beach house is designed with an open concept that allows for an abundance of natural light to stream in through our elegant French doors. With a cozy and stylish interior, you'll feel relaxed and at ease as soon as you enter. Take advantage of our outdoor hot tub for a day of ultimate relaxation and afterwards, wash off those sandy feet in our outdoor shower.

Fabulous Weekend Rental

The rental was super clean, beautiful furniture and accessories. TVs in every room were a plus! Hot tub was a great way to relax after a day of touring. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay honestly.

OBX Lovers

The house was clean, cozy, well organized and convenient for everything we needed. We were so comfortable, the only thing we went out to buy was ice cream. The neighborhood was perfect - far enough from the main highway that we didn’t hear any kind of traffic or disturbances, but still only a few minutes from the beach. The jacuzzi and grill were the cherry on top. We loved our stay and definitely plan to return!

We had a fabulous vacation. The house is conveniently located with access to the bike path and a very short drive to the beach, dining, and shopping! The hosts were excellent and very responsive for the minor problems we encountered which were promptly resolved.

I stayed with my best friend and her husband. Property is in a fairly quiet neighborhood and beautifully decorated. We were very comfortable there. Our only complaints were that the water pressure and temperature for showers could be improved. Everything else was wonderful!! We will definitely go back!

Check in process was easy, place was super clean, how was super responsive. only suggestion would be to provide a few more towels, we just had to continue washing towels for the week. Fridge was not working however unplugged and plugged back in was working. However place was great and host took care of everything!

Family Vacation

Overall this is a very lovely property! Very clean and inviting. With five adults and one child we had plenty of room. Very comfortable beds and location was perfect. If you wanted and were capable you could walk to the beach only took like 15 minutes. If by car it was only a few minutes. We all had no complaints and hope to stay again in the future! Paradise at the Poseidon

The property, location, and owners exceeded any and all expectations. The property and its contents are in immaculate condition – bedding; bathrooms; you name it - are spotless! Quiet neighborhood in close proximity to sunsets on the sound, quiet family time on the beach, and restaurants and shopping. The owners are exceptionally responsive and accommodating. I am already looking at the calendar for another stay in the fall.

Girls trip

If you’re thinking about renting this house, do it! You will not be disappointed! Like the other reviews mentioned, this house is so clean. The seller always responded within minutes of sending a message. One bedroom with king bed, one bathroom and laundry room are down stairs. The other 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, and living room are upstairs. The seller has bistro lights around porch rails so arriving after dark helped us see. I will rent again!

One step above a hotel

Beds were comfortable & repair response to A/C failure was quick but needed softer/nicer towels & more than 1 per person for the whole week. No tissues, trash bags, laundry soap, dishwasher soap & only 1 roll toilet paper per bath for the week. Needed non-skid rugs in baths, and black-out shades in the upstairs bedrooms. A more comfortable sofa would have been nice.

A needed getaway

Our stay way excellent. While the property is not on the water, access to the beach is a very close. The property was clean and their bed was really comfortable. The water was a little too cold to enjoy swimming without a wetsuit. Also, due to a western wind bringing some bitting flies it prevented hanging out at the beach. I was told by the locals this wind brings them out. Spray doesn’t seem to faze them and they swarm. Other than that- the water is beautiful and traveling up the coast is a very pleasant drive. We traveled to Duck and the lighthouse in Corolla. This location is perfect spot to enjoy the OBX.

OBX getaway

I just wanted to start by saying the house is beautiful, and I appreciated the quiet neighborhood. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would consider staying again in the future if the opportunity arises. However, I did want to share a few concerns that came up during our visit:Cleanliness of Dishes: The checkout instructions note that all used dishes should be cleaned for the next guests. Unfortunately, many of the dishes in the cabinets were not clean when we went to use them, so we had to rewash several items.Dishwasher Issue: The dishwasher does not appear to be functioning properly. We tried three different wash settings, but the dishes remained dirty each time.Toilet Paper Supply: There was a limited supply of toilet paper—only two partially used rolls for a home that sleeps 6–8 guests. It would be helpful to provide a bit more for future guests.Trash Bags: There was only one trash bag available, which was already in the kitchen trash can. For guests staying more than two days, additional bags would be greatly appreciated.Check-In Communication: I understand there was a mix-up with sending the check-in information to the wrong platform. While I appreciate the effort to gain exposure by listing on multiple sites, the delay did cause a bit of concern. Clear and timely communication is very important for a smooth check-in process.Despite these minor issues, the home was clean, well-kept, and located in a peaceful area. Thank you for hosting us.
