This tastefully updated beach house is centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, so you'll be just minutes away from a variety of shopping and dining options. The Atlantic Street public beach access is just a half mile away and provides free parking. Best of all, KDH & Chill is dog-friendly, so even your four-legged family members can join you!

    Back at the house, relax in the bright and airy open-concept great room with vaulted ceilings and laminate wood flooring, ideal for sandy feet and paws returning from the beach. When you're not dining out, use the well-equipped kitchen with quartz countertops and a peninsula with bar seating where the family can gather during meal prep. The primary suite features a private bath with custom tiled walk-in shower and a unique, coastal-inspired vessel sink.

    PLEASE NOTE that the ground level is occupied by a long term tenant and is not accessible to Village Realty guests.

Upon check in, we had trouble with the key lock and had to contact the after hours emergency hotline. Turns out there was a system issue and was given a backup code. The process to get the code was a bit tedious and my group and I were afraid we wouldn’t be able to check in. The house was great. Started housebound items were provided and the beds were okay. Pillows were a bit flat so if you like a little more firmness or fluff, definitely recommend bringing your own pillow. Love that the house is pet friendly. I believe the downstairs tenants have a dog as well so fyi. The beach was a 5 minute drive. Great neighborhood. The downstairs tenants were up late over the weekend until 5/6am. It was Labor Day weekend so I wasn’t annoyed by it but one of the nights they did keep us up. Laundry room is shared. Did have an issue as the tenants were using the laundry machines for a couple hours and I never moved their stuff out. However when I did my laundry, they moved out my stuff from the dryer and it was still wet. We also had an encounter with some of the tenants after walking my dog at night, and overheard them make race-related remarks to me and my friends. We confronted them but it’s not the behavior I would expect from a rental property. Most of our issues was from checking in, which was resolved and there was a technician that came out to help reset the lock; and issues with the tenants. Overall house was great.

We were pleasantly surprised by several things with this house. First, the open floor plan with vaulted ceilings in the main area makes the space feel much larger. The kitchen is well designed with a large granite peninsula and barstools, a modern French-door fridge, a large farm sink and plenty of storage space.The living room has plenty of space for sitting and relaxing with a huge smart tv.The middle bedroom was great for younger guests with two twin beds. The master bedroom was very spacious and the master bath was very elegant with a freshly updated design and a large walk-in shower.Laundry is available, but it is shared with the downstairs tenants via a lockout room. We found that clothes were often left in machines by others, but this was a minor inconvenience.The outside front porch has a table and chairs which make sitting with morning coffee a must-do. The hall closet has a great assortment of beach chairs, umbrella, and other accessories.The neighborhood is quiet, and seems to be mostly permanent residents. We walked our dogs several times each day and always felt safe. The location is very central to many restaurants, attractions, and shops. It’s a short drive to public parking at the beach, but it’s not too far to walk if you’re up for it.We enjoyed this house very much and are looking at returning next year. We would definitely recommend this property to families and pet owners.
