Peaceful get away

We were very pleased with the clean, bright, spacious well stocked cottage. It was a peaceful neigherhood and we had a delightful neighbor who lives there year round. It was a convenient location to everything we wanted to do. Our daily coffee on the porch was most enjoyable.

Terry is a great host! Great communication before and during the stay. The house was comfortable and clean with great amenities. We enjoyed the board games and puzzles the one night it rained. It was nice having extra beach chairs etc at the house so it was one less thing to pack. Close to the beach and central to many stores, restaurants, and things to do.

Awesome stay in OBX

We had a wonderful time in the OBX. It was our first time and this location was perfect! We were close to grocery and stores for shopping, a short walk for fishing, and many eateries close by. Being in central OBX made it a 30-60 min drive to far ends of island for the horses and Oregon Inlet. Will definitely stay here when we come back!

Another great stay!

Very short distance to the beach. The beach chairs and umbrella provided really made the experience great for us! And all the comforts of home for those rainy days. Of course, Terry was a great host! Will be back again :)

Super Stay

Adorable house, modern furnishings, very clean and in a convenient location. This was my first visit to the Outer Banks and this house really worked for me. One day I drove north to Corolla, another day to south end near Avon and then a day in Manteo. Stayed a week and never got bored. Highly recommend.

Fun at Beach Daze!

Had a great time! Comfortable and roomy stay. Easy to settle in and make it home. Minor items: There were a few light bulbs out and areas that appears spot cleaned in bathroom and around the house. Cobwebs in areas.

Comfortable and cute!

Super cute place, bright and airy. Cozy bedrooms and comfortable space. If you want to catch a sunset allow at least 10-15 min walk to the pier at the sound so you don't miss it. Otherwise good location to get around town.

Great location and value

Located very close to the beach (2 minute drive) and lots of space. The couch looked dirty with stains and many dishes put away had food on them still. We also found several goldfish on the floor when we arrived. Despite the cleanliness issues, it was a great value for the price!

Great stay

We loved the set up of the house and all of the amenities. Despite the rainy week, we had a great time. Very central location to the beach and other activities, stores etc. Nice short walk to the sound and a nice walking trail. Terry was very communicative. My only suggestion would be getting some darker curtains. My husband and I are very much blackout curtain people and the light made it hard to sleep in the morning. Otherwise we’d definitely stay here again.

Review

I appreciated the communication with the host and the check in was easy. However the listing shows that there are no pets but unfortunately there was dog hair all over the couch and the carpets, plus there are animal smudges on the glass sliding door. There is mold on the shower curtain and some parts of the shower, the bathroom was a bit dusty and had hair all over the floor plus the shower was never cleaned from the previous guest since there was soap on it. We heard how clean this place was but unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment especially when we have a daughter who has pet allergies.

Bay side getaway in OBX

The property was nice and clean. The neighborhood was quiet. The beach was about a half mile away but crossing Rt 158 on foot did not seem safe, so driving to the beach was necessary. Overall great place to get away and enjoy the beach at.
